ABC Pizza — Restaurant in Chiefland

This was hands down the worst service I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant.

We arrived at ABC Pizza close to closing time, but still with enough time to order and enjoy a meal. Unfortunately, the service was beyond unacceptable. It took the waitress quite a while just to come take our drink orders. Then, another 10/15 minutes later, she finally brought out the drinks, only to walk away again without taking our food order.

Roughly 15 more minutes go by before she returns to tell us that we can’t order most of the items on the menu because they’re closing soon. At that point, we had already been sitting for over 30 minutes. If she had simply taken our order when she brought the drinks, the kitchen could have started on the food. Instead, we were left with very limited options, and nearly everything our group of 7 wanted to try was no longer available.

To make matters worse, we overheard the cook asking the waitress about our order, and she told him we didn’t know what we wanted. That couldn’t be further from the truth, we had been ready, just waiting on her to take it. I finally spoke up and said exactly that.

By this point, it was obvious she was trying to stall until it was too late for us to be served. It felt like we were being pushed out the door. Frustrated, we paid for our drinks and left.

I feel bad for the owners, because that server cost them a large order and several future customers. I wish I remembered her name, but I don’t.

We had to leave and drive all the way to Gainesville, since every other nearby restaurant was also closing by then. We finally got dinner at Waffle House around 10:00 PM, and the server there was amazing, attentive, kind, and efficient. A complete 180 from our experience at ABC Pizza.

We were excited to try this place, but after this experience, I won’t be back. The service was not just slow, it felt deliberately dismissive. It’s not like they were slammed the restaurant was empty but like 5 other people that were...

Miserable experience. We went for lunch and proceeded to wait 15 minutes for our server to come greet us. The restaurant was far from busy. We ordered cheese bread with our drinks. The server delivered our drinks and then took our order. What a chore this was. This restaurant has a lot of rules on what you can or can't do. We originally wanted the buffet that is advertised on the sign out by the road. Only to find out they no longer do the buffet. Why is it still being advertised then on the sign. No one seemed to know the answer. My wife wanted a calzone. We were quickly told it will take at least 35 minutes maybe longer to cook. Then we tried to order a half and half pizza and we were told no again because one had meat sauce and one had pizza sauce. I'm still not sure why a cook could not sauce each side of the pizza with the correct sauce. It seems like the favorite word for this restaurant is no. I then ordered a meatball sub. We then asked about our cheese bread since it had not come out and was told it takes a while to cook. The server then came back after about 25 minutes to tell us that somehow it never made it past the cook line to be put in the oven. She then stated she just had them put it in the oven but it would take longer than our food but it would be out. The sub came out smothered in onions and peppers. The ironic part is there is NO mention of this on the menu whatsoever. I asked the server about this and was told this is the way it comes. I stated it would have been helpful if it was listed on the menu. My sandwich was sent back and after all the issues I decided not to eat. My wife had a small pizza which she stated was ok but lacked toppings and sauce. It was not worth the endless issues to have lunch at ABC Pizza. This restaurant is very dated and needs some TLC. We will not be back to this...

SPAGHETTI 🍝 IN THE TRASH 🗑

Well tonight spaghetti were either over cooked or seating for a long time. yuck !! 🤮 I was a regular customer at this place with my boys, some of the staff know us. We recently discovered this place after living in Tampa for 15 plus years, thought that they only serve pizza, but other food as well.

Tonight I ordered two, but she only got two ready for me. I asked her on the phone that I will like it to be extra time/heat in the oven, that dude said she didn’t understand..

My boy ate his as he were really hungry, but not me! 🍝

The phone lady didn’t have a good actitudes either in person, called to complaint with manager I guess that was another foolish pretend to be one. She didn’t even care at all, her response was that they have sold a lot of spaghetti 🍝 tonight and no body complaint.. 🤣 🤣 🤣 Need another type of job, but not the one dealing with human being or business ok !?!?

Tonight they loose us as customers and possible some of my friends who’s I know goes to that place.

I ate spaghetti my whole life and taught others how to make a delicious recipe.

I will just buy the spaghetti 🍝 the salsa and the cheese 🧀 and save myself the hassles and trouble with poor actitudes staff at that place plus...
