We went to Ralph’s on our way home the other night on our drive from Georgia because it’s DELICIOUS! We visit often as we have a house up the road in Old Town too. But I would like to remind everyone how important it is to be kind and polite no matter what type of day you are having. Always be aware that someone’s day may be worse than yours and regardless, having manners and kindness is never optional. As we pulled through the drive thru line at Ralph’s to pay, Ralph him selves told us our money was not needed there today. Our dinner was on the house. Ralph said they had a hard day, it was busy and no one was kind or polite but we had been. While he did not have to do that and we reminded him a few times, he insisted. Our three young children who sat in the back seat had a gracious lesson about our expectations of kindnesses and manners and boy did they understand it as they enjoyed those delicious tenders, onion rings and French fries! Thank YOU for your kindness and hard work on the hard days and everyday RALPH’S BURGER HOUSE! Good food, awesome prices and good old...
Read moreI've been stopping at this place in Chiefland for almost 40 years. I used to see Ralph working in the kitchen but I haven't lately. Maybe he retired but the food is still as good as ever.
A lot has changed in the atea around this place, but Ralph's still looks about the same as it did when I first ate there. No indoor seating, but there's a nice, shady picnic area outside. Two drive-up lanes.
In fact I remember back in the 80s or early 90s they opened two other locations in Chiefland with dining rooms. I was told they were missing out on too many game buses who ended up going to McD's or other places where they could park. Those locations are gone now. One is a noodle house now (I believe), and I'm not sure about the other. In any case, the original (and best) location seems to be doing just fine.
If you're passing through Chiefland and are considering stopping for fast food, you're cheating yourself if you don't try Ralph's. You...
Read moreI wouldn't know what it tastes like. I ordered a hamburger and a cheese burger and a small fry from the girl that came to my car and when I got to the window the lady that took my money said a hamburger and a cheese burger and a small fry and I paid $8.95. I get to the next window and the guy says a hamburger and a cheese burger and a small fry. I say yes we head down the road to Bronson and get our burgers out and low and behold I have 2 cheese burgers and a small fry. I can not eat cheese so I can not eat this burger. Spent money but got not the right food. Most would say just eat it anyways but it would put me in the hospital. I do not understand why this happens all the time, everywhere. Everything comes with cheese. Even when I ask for no cheese I get it on it anyway. 2nd time it has happened here. Probably won't be back, can't get what I ordered. Even though everyone knew what I ordered, they told me...
