The ONLY reason I'm not giving this place a 1 is BC if the amazing waitress I had. Gwen. She was all over the place doing 1,000 different jobs while the place was packed full of customers but managed to keep her composure the entire time. One man across from me was complaining about his eggs and within 5 mins of her fixing that, another couple walked out saying that they weren't waiting 30 mins for chilli. Then I got my food. I got the MVP meal. I'm not a huge fan of waffles so I asked if I could sub the waffle for French toast..she said she could but she would have to charge me $1.99 I said oh, OK that's fine. When my French toast came out I was immediately disgusted. It had black char all over it from the grill not being cleaned properly, it was ONE piece of bread cut into two which was so soggy it literally made me almost gag when I put it in my mouth started to chew. I told my waitress about the French toast she asked me if I wanted another piece and I said no thank you and I ate waffle and everything else was great but I will not be returning I love French toast way too much to see it destroyed like that LOL when you are amazing you deserve to be somewhere else where you will make good money for as...
Read moreI stopped at huddle House driving from Tampa to Tallahassee; Chiefland is about halfway. My server, Christina, greeted me immediately when I sat at the bar. I had a hard time deciding, and she helped me settle on the ham and cheese stuffed hash browns, wheat toast, and Pepsi. The food was delicious! No complaints, hands down, really darn good. The cook ask me whether I wanted the sausage gravy on the side or on top of the food and I asked for it on top. It was great. The employees in the huddle House never stopped moving. They were zipping around like crazy, cooking and serving and cleaning. Even the manager was running around with a phone clapped to his ear talking to someone about a business issue while washing dishes and periodically asking people if everything was okay. I'm leaving a 4-star rating only because, as one might expect, the huddle House was a little messy, the bathroom was a little dirty, and I saw at least two overflowing trash cans. It did not diminish the excellent service or delicious food. If hospital level cleanliness is important to you, then eat at a hospital. If you just want really good food at a decent price with enthusiastic service, go to Huddle...
Read moreWhat a wonderful find! My husband and I stop here on our way to Tarpon Springs! From the outside it looked like no one was there but we also stopped by at 3:00 pm. Inside was nice and clean and like a diner from the 70’s. We were immediately greeted and told to sit anywhere we liked.
We were served shortly by a pleasant waitress. I ordered a BLT and wanted it on plain toast. I also wanted a salad instead of fries which wasn’t even an option. She said no problem! My husband order this scrumptious hamburger entree.
When our meals came out, which was quick, both meals were hot and smelled delicious. My salad was a chef salad (very impressed) with raspberry vinegarette. My BLT was perfect and they were very generous with the bacon! It tasted so good! My husband said his hamburger and tater tots were delicious!
The service was fantastic. We were serve by Cindy. She was so professional and nice. We really appreciated her serving us. She did a very good job.
I highly recommend this location of Huddle House. It’s a jewel! I think you will...
