Cafe 86 - Chino Hills — Restaurant in Chino Hills

Cafe 86 specializes in Filipino inspired desserts with a focus on ube (purple yam). Friendly staff, fun and modern atmosphere. Cool AC for a hot summer day, lots of seating and parking. Decent prices and sizes. We tried their ube flan cupcake (the flan was rich and decadent, cupcake moist and flavorful—not too sweet!).

Also tried their mango slush, chamoy edition (chamoy is a Mexican sauce usually spiced with chilis—tasted salty/sour). The mango slush itself was delicious, the chamoy added a nice contrast but there was way too much poured into it and it completely overpowered the drink. This is a very unique place in Chino Hills. It is a bit hidden in my opinion, but once you find it you will be amazed. Now the taste isn't for everyone, even for me. It is very sweet, but for those who have a sweet tooth, this will be your new favorite place. They have a lot of selections of pastries and drinks that will make a normal foodie go crazy. The unique thing about this place is that it is the only place that serves ube flavors in Chino Hills. The ube flan cupcake is a very popular pastry here and my girlfriend loves it. The interior is really hipster. It is a bit of a retro and minimalistic style that follows the modern trend. The staff is really friendly and even allowed us to have two check-in offers since the business was a bit slow at that hour....

Pretty cool place they got ube macaroons which were amazing and the turkey pesto is real good!

Came back second time around to try a couple things! I had the ube monster, ube ice cream sandwich, and the churrochi!

All were amazing! Unfortunately they ran out of the amazing macaroons and the leche flan ube cupcakes! It was a bummer but it makes total sense because of how popular and heavenly they taste hahaha

They have indoor and outdoor seating! The indoor seating have couches where you can play board games, and hangout.
