Platform 909 — Restaurant in Chino Hills

When you have place called Platform 909 & you see a social media post about a Harry Potter themed coffee & tea shop, you think you are going to enter a magical place. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The first thing I noticed when we arrived was a sign on the front window stating “Under New Management.” When we walked in we were shocked at the lack of Harry Potter decorations & feel. In the entire store we only found 2 small signs that had anything to do with the series. Needless to say we were very disappointed. That being said, they did have a decent selection of flavored coffees & teas and a small array of food items. We both got a flavored black tea with caramel & boba. It was very good. I also got a croissant & then we took 2 of their crepe cakes home for later. The croissant was good, but the crepe cakes were amazing. The ladies who helped were nice & informative. The atmosphere was quiet & calm, except for my 2 young nieces being themselves. If you are looking to immerse yourself in the wizarding world, you’ll be greatly disappointed. If you are looking for a typical, slightly overpriced coffee & tea shop atmosphere, then this is your place. My recommendation for the new management would be to change the name or theme the shop back to...

Great place, great drinks, and great pastries!

I came here on a Saturday at 4:00 PM and there were only 2 pastries left, so we bought the last of it!

Drinks: Spanish Latte - Yummy, really cute latte art, not too sweet (which is good), I like the hint of cinnamon You need to drink it fast or the froth will dissipate

Matcha Latte - Really tasty and sweet, you can only do basic art because it's water based

Cold brew with boba - Flavorful and refreshing, the boba is quite chèwy in texture and not very sweet

Pastries: Green tea donut ($1.95) delicious!! They can heat it up and i'd have to say it's better than krispy kreme!

The Red velvet donut ($1.25) is a different texture, it's a little cake type of texture. Still good

The decor is really cute, it's kind of like Harry Potter themed. You can take pictures in almost every angle. There's also wifi so you can work from the cafe. There's a few seating areas and accessible outlets on the back wall. Parking is quite easy as well.

Platform 909 is easily one of the coziest cafes I’ve ever stepped into! Jennie, the owner, truly puts her heart into ensuring that every guest feels right at home. She’s got a warm, welcoming vibe that extends to the entire staff, who are always friendly and attentive. They’re quick to fix any mistakes or accommodate special requests, making the experience even better.

The food is absolutely fantastic. The breakfast Croissantwich is a standout—light, flaky, and packed with flavor. I also can’t get enough of the Basil Pesto Chicken Panini, the strawberry croffle, and the ricotta cheese avocado toast. Trust me, you’ll want to arrive with a big appetite!

The drinks are another highlight. The strawberry chacha is a personal favorite—smooth, perfectly sweet, with that rich matcha flavor, and the strawberry foam adds a creamy, tangy touch that’s just right. It’s a solid 10/10. And of course, the coffee is always on point! I can’t wait to come back...
