NEVER US MCDONALD'S APP FOR DELIVERY/ UBER EATS
I hate having to complain online...
Uber Eats Diredt Order ID F9268. The pickup is 1.5 miles from my apartment. Ordered at 712am. Order was passed off from one driver to another. I called support at 748am. I spent 35 minutes on the phone with support, asking them to cancel and refund. Support didn't care what I asked... they kept telling me I can't cancel and get a refund. They told me 8am was the cutoff time. 805 came around, support still refused to cancel my order. The delivery driver messaged me after 8am telling me my apartment building doesn't exist. All while I am placed on hold again by "support." I tried to explain to them where it was, and that no other delivery service ever has an issue. The delivery person replied back and told me I should have left him better notes....
Order arrived at 817am. Over an hour after I ordered. DoorDash takes 10-15 minutes. Uber Eats took over an hour. Support was completely unwilling to assist me. Kept putting me on hold, they didn't care at all.
Food was cold as ice.
I was told to use the McDonald's app for a refund. The McDonald's app says to call Uber support. This is way too much energy and effort just to try to get a delivery, even worse having to fight about a severely overpriced late delivery.
So now I have to go online and complain because Uber Eats won't do the right thing and doesn't care.
I HATE complaining online but NEVER use Uber Eats. I highly doubt they will do...
Read moreThey do not own up to their mistakes. Before I placed my order at the drive through window I asked if they still have the buy one get one for $1 deal, the person answered YES. I ordered a Big Mac and 10 piece and med fries and pulled up to the window and I was given my total which did not include the discount so I asked about it and the cashier said "oh, that ended yesterday." I asked if I could still get the deal since he told me yes the deal was still active when I placed my order. He said no, I cannot still get the deal, so I asked to cancel my order and they got a manager to void the transaction. This is where I did not appreciate the service because when the manager came the cashier said, "she wants to cancel the order because she thought the $1 deal was still active" I corrected him and told the manager, no I asked if the deal was still active before Inplaced my order and he said yes. The manager said that not all the employees know the deal us not in effect. (In my head I am thinking...It is 3:30 in the afternoon, how come the employees don't know that the deal ended yesterday?) So my order was canceled and I went to another McDonalds 2 miles away and happily paid full price for the Big Mac...
Read moreHorrible. The girl taking the order was really rude. Not friendly at all , when I said wow your not in a good mood at all she said nothing and continued to be rude. This was Thursday September 10th at 5:30 pm The teenage male manager that was on at the time came to the window, after hearing me he turnaround and walked away. No comment at all. I will never be back. BTW she was rude to the person behind me also. I went to Wendy's afterward to get ice cream because McDonald's didn't have any. There is no excuse for lousy customer service. Added 9/15/20.... After a few days of thinking about my experience, I have to say that I was not nice to the teenage manager in charge. I understand why he turned around and walked away. If he was more mature he would have handled the situation different. I understand people have bad days, however think about this as a restaurant owner you should understand that McDonalds is comfort food. Many times people go to Mcdonald's to feel better, and it would be wise to have employees that understand that they are a key part of success on a daily...
