I very much liked this pizza.
I moved to California from the east coast 21 years ago and I have been largely disappointed with the pizza in this state.
Most of the places labeled as "good" or "great" are just about average. Now don't get me wrong, average pizza is still better than most other foods.
But in those 21 years, the only times I can say I was actually IMPRESSED by the pizza can be narrowed down to three times. Ciro's in San Diego's gaslamp, Bella's in riverside on Arlington, and New York pizzeria in chino.
It smells great from the moment I walked in with my mask on, the pizza cooked pretty quickly (which tells me a lot, like they have properly heated ovens!) and as I drove around looking for a place to stop and eat because I was about 30 miles from home (also letting the pizza cool!) it filled the car with a wonderful pleasing aroma.
I finally pulled into a parking lot and had my first bite. Two slices out of 8, saving much of it for later.
It was very impressive.
I thought "maybe I'm just super hungry, everything tastes better hungry". Well 2 hours later, I had a cold slice.
Again, great, and I typically do not like cold pizza.
Now, all that said, the slice I had was their "normal" pepperoni pizza, not the "New York thin" style, so I have yet to try that style, but if it's just as good as the regular pie, it should be great too. (Update: I’ve since had the New York style. It’s my favorite now from them!)
Also, staff was super friendly, and as I waited outside, could see into the kitchen, when my pizza was ready, the guy behind the glass motioned to me to...

A couple of days ago, I ordered delivery through Uber eats. Unfortunately, the driver for Uber eats wasn't mindful. The pizza arrived in horrible condition as it had slid to one side of the box and clumped up in a corner. It appeared the driver dropped it and put it back in the box. There was even dog hair and other debris on the pizza.
HOWEVER, despite the screw up from the Uber eats driver, the team at New York Pizzeria made the situation right!
I called them after receiving the pizza from Uber and explained the situation. I was outside of their delivery area and they still helped me out and delivered a BRAND NEW PIZZA (I paid of course).
I can not tell you how amazed I am by their customer service. It was freaking impeccable!!! Not only was the service top level, the pizza was AMAZING!!! My goodness, it was a memorable pizza. I can only say that about one other pizza place and that is in my home town in Whittier. I moved to Chino Hills just over a year ago and I finally found my go to pizza joint. NEW YORK PIZZERIA, THANK YOU FOR THE PHENOMINAL SERVICE AND OUTSTANDING PIZZA! I'll...
