Josef's Cheesecake Cupcakes — Restaurant in Chippewa Falls

I ordered a special cake for my hubby for his fav sports team. We asked if we could have cookies and cream? Said absolutely. We figured it would be better than dq lol. We asked what the sizes were and he held up his hands and we thought I’m he was exaggerating like two feet tall?! The only size…what? Anyway, ordered it then went to pick it up and it was ginormous. We were like oh no lol. The grandma was there and I asked for a box..no box. He makes a cake that huge and no box?! Forewarning, bring a cooler or something. Why sell an ice cream cake that big and you can’t cover it?! We then said to grandma, man I wish he could have made a smaller one . She said of course he can. This is a warning so you are prepared as a customer. We had to saw it in half to fit in our freezer. The top half was edible but the bottom WAS NOT! It was solid cookie. Like 5” or more lol. We had to throw it away. So we spent $45 and only half was edible. Hubby tried eating it but I had tummy troubles. No ice cream, just solid greasy cookie. I messaged him multiple times because of the inconsistencies in communication. Never responded. Not good customer relations. Won’t order a cake again.

No his individual cheesecakes are awesome. That’s the reason for 3 stars. But ask a lot , a lot of questions if custom making a cake....

I was so excited when I found out about this place, my son is lactose and they were willing to make him a baby shark smash cake. I called a month in advance to place an order, I went to pick up my son's cake the day before his birthday party and the gentlemen who made the cake wasn't there at the time, I asked for a blue baby shark cake that said "happy 1st birthday Monty, I was asked on the phone at the time of ordering the cake if it was for a boy or girl.

I got a cake that said happy first birthday Anna. Which is my name in pink writing on a cake that's suppose to be for a little boy. The hand writing was extremely sloppy and the gram cracker crust was falling off the side of the cake. The lady working helped me scrape off the Anna part on the cake but I now have a blue cake with pink messy writing and falling off crust on the bottom. The lady also told me the guy was up until midnight looking for decorations for the cake. Again I placed this order a month in advance. And they didn't do the cake until the day before pick up ? I'm just extremely disappointed in how it turned out for his first birthday. And I thought the entire thing was pretty unprofessional.

We bought a cheesecake for our sons birthday. Upon purchase the cake looked fine but then she put some cheesy placard that said happy birthday on the top. The cheesecake was about 62 bucks which seemed reasonable given the size and weight but truthfully I have no idea. I put the cake on the floor and drove home to the east hill which is minutes from the josefs. I notices when I took it out the entire side had collapsed. All the strawberry topping had mostly run off. Now I drove slowly with the cake in mind, did the motion of the vehicle make it happen? Again I'm not sure. I could have dealt with all of this but when my wife called and asked if he had any idea why this happened he took zero responsibility and blamed us. Staging it was the way we transported it. I'm not sure what proper steps I could have taken but the way he was about it made me feel like I was someone other than a paying customer. I didn't need a new cake maybe just I'm sorry this happened to you. If he knows the cakes are thT fragile maybe offer delivery service. I don't think I would go back. I have had the cupcakes before at almost 10 a piece and dq makes better. Just be careful if u go yourself the owners do not care once you leave, 0 empathy...
