Ritz on the River — Restaurant in Chippewa Falls

My boyfriend and I stopped in last night on 3/8 hoping to find a new hangout in Chippewa. We just moved here a year ago. Unfortunately, our experience was terrible and we will not be going back. There were only 3 other people in the bar and one of them was definitely looking for a fight. The bartender did not know how to handle an escalated situation and threatened to call the cops on us. He eventually kicked us out even though we were trying to deescalate and apologized to this angry patron multiple times. Some townie bars are fun. This one is just dangerous. I'll no longer wonder why a cop is sitting on the curb half the time I drive past this bar. 0/10, avoid this place. Get your bloody...

This is my favorite stop in Chippewa Falls (gateway to the Northwoods). Lots of local beer, great prices, gambling (dice and machines), cheap eats, The shake a day comes three ways. The bathroom is traditionally a small town Wisconsin sized room. Check out the new event space next door or the new food hall...

Open doors atmosphere, kind staff, they have a "hot beef," not a roast beef sandwich with cheese - if you're not fron there! Learn something new - every day. They have lots of history in the area & depth in the community. Roots it you will, nice ppl though, make sure you do your shake of the day...
