Clean and the food was decent. However, despite my checking the box saying that I wanted maid service, there was one day I did not get maid service.
The staff I have met are friendly and try to be helpful. However, their wifi is an open connection, and moreover one must log in via a browser, which is incompatible with the security that is installed in my computer. Therefore I am unable to access hundreds of computer files that I need (I am an attorney and am up here for a week long contested administrative hearing).
Fortunately, I always plan on the possibility of having everything go wrong that could possibly go wrong, so I do have paper copies of what I need, plus I saved working copies of what I need in my desktop, so I have a jerry-rigged "good enough" situation to get me through the week, but I do think that it is highly misleading for the hotel to advertise free wifi, when the wifi is only available to a select few-- those who are willing to have their confidential information stolen.
I won't be coming back. Due to the demands of my job, I would rather stay in a rat-infested hovel with accessible wifi than this place where the availability of wifi is only illusory. I think that it is entirely unreasonable for some anonymous IT person hired by a hotel to be permitted to decree that an out-of-town attorney must go to trial with one hand tied behind her back due to the hotel's bizarre...
Read moreWe were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. First hotel in a while that we received the room we reserved (when hotel was completely booked.) Rooms were clean and large; ours was a one-bedroom suite with a door between the bedroom and main/living area, as well a a kitchen and full size refrigerator. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking meals on the in-room stove. We were very impressed by the lack of noise transfer between rooms and from hallway. I would have given four stars as result of two things: the pool was very small - better than no pool of course but water was quite cold; and hotel parking consisted of an outdoor lot across the street - although only a 30-60-second walk to the door with no traffic, was not fun in the snow. However, I had to give five stars on account of the service. We had a lot of family staying at this hotel, and my uncle, the last to leave, could not start his car in the cold. Not only did the employees try for more than an hour to jump his car, one of them actually offered to drive him home after her shift, a two-hour jaunt. For any of you reading this review, my family sends heartfelt thanks! We would absolutely recommend this hotel, and certainly would...
Read moreVery nice hotel. We had a king suite with kitchenette. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable. The Chop House restaurant down stairs was phenomenal! Great selection of delicious food and the carrot cake was the best I've ever had. Drinks were pretty good too but the old fashioned could use some work. If I had any complaints, they would be the pool and parking. The pool is tiny. I mean, I've been in hot tub larger than this pool. Really, it isn't worth the space it takes up. Should've just added this space to the restaurant and breakfast area. (Breakfast was pretty decent too. Nothing special but good enough.) Parking is a bit ridiculous. There are only 3 or 4 spots in the back. Most of which are handicapped. Everyone else has to park in the road or across the street. I can't believe there's enough parking if the hotel is even half full. Still, the experience was so nice that I would gladly book here again if we were...
