This place is small small. Outlets work, fight for tables, don’t seem to mind if you rearrange chairs to accommodate small children. Busy and loud, but you can blend in a little. Not the best relaxing break from the road if you were planning a sit down. Parking in back if you have a loud dog, as some people do sometimes. They seem to cater to the drive thru as most do down south. People are moving too fast and hard so they don’t have time to live, just pass it through the window y’all. Very eclectic town. The corner was a book club, now seems a hip culture meeting. There’s the classic guy in the corner trying to look productive, the 20 something year old desperately hoping for a good charge and the grandmas, though they are wearing jeans and being sassy. Might be worth more exploration of the town. Had to wait for my coffee because I was forgotten. Not really the fault of the barista as I was willing to wait for fresh brewed Sumatra (who wouldn’t), but it was worth it. Got free coffee card and now I can drink more tomorrow. Goddess is good!! Had to make compromises though....there’s no table for my coffee. BEWARE BE WARNED This is one of those rare Starbucks that does NOT give free whipped cream to children. I took away another Star.... I added a star back in...gave us hot water and forks —no problem for cup of soup! I took a star away again...as we were leaving a new girl came on. She was quite rude and automatically judgy with something to say even though it was obvious we were leaving so her input was completely unnecessary, but she needed to vent on small children. Always makes me wonder where the missing connection is in the feminine to...
Read moreTerrible customer service at the Chowchilla Starbucks 3/8 11:15 am. They lost my drink order. I waited about 15 minutes, until I noticed all customers behind me had there drinks. Finally someone asked if I was waiting for food. I said no a drink. Another 5 minutes still no drink. My husband inquires about my drink they say we are working on it. I ordered the new Nitro cold brew with honey foam. The barista put ice in the Nitro coffee. My husband said when she gave it to him doesn't ice ruin the Nitro affect. She argued then acted like I ordered it wrong so I checked my label. Said Ncb so that means Nitro. She finally offers to make a new one. The second one was only half filled and the honey foam was not used. We left not wanting any more grief from her. Very unprofessional Manager. The other employees and the newer gentleman taking my order was great. The Lead or manager is the problem at this Chowchilla location. I ordered same drink in Bakersfield the night before was perfect and...
Read moreDo to Starbucks ever changing policies to not offend the snowflakes and the people who are most concerned about being politically correct for the time, for the most part I would avoid Starbucks all together. There was a time when that was the only game in town 4 something other than gas station coffee that actually tasted good but that has changed. There is now a much wider variety of gourmet coffee establishments so you don't have to pay those high prices to get a good tasty cup of coffee, and support a business who clearly has a bad sence of priorities who only cater to the left. I used to go there for a tasty cup of coffee from time to time, not to have them judge whether I can say merry Christmas our God bless America. They clearly believe that they are are reshaping America and sitting in trend. They need to stick to making good coffee and providing good service and...
