Was looking for a spot close to our hotel that had eggs Benedict for my guy and omelet/ french toast/ pancakes for me. I Google and it had a 4.4. We took a chance because I like 4.5 or above. Anyway, when we got there there was a line so I was like hmm this must be really good. We waited about 35 min. Not too bad. The inside is small, but they have make shift seating outside. The table was a bit dirty but I brushed that off. I could see they were very busy. Mind you it's open from 7am - 2pm. We got there at about 12pm. 3 people attended us. The guy that got our drinks, the waitress and the guy who served our food. The food was very good, glad it was hot. Its homestyle cooking, which is nice.But the service really lacked. They took forever to refill our coffee and drinks, didn't bring extra napkins with our meal, forgot my sons pancake and the syrup. Had to flag the waitress down for all these items which made the experience long. I am an looker of these type of things because I waitressed for 5 years. So our waitress wasn't mean but a smile could of went a long way...just saying. That being said my peach macadamia nut pancakes were awesome. So, if I'm in the area again. So we have been coming to eat here anytime we’re in Bonita, about seven weeks out of the year. It’s been pretty good place food is usually good service has been good. However today’s experience was really bad. We knew that it being Sunday that we would have to wait about 25-30 minutes to get a seat. We had put our name in for two people inside. Sat on the new indoor waiting bench and watched as two people were sat inside that arrived after us. I asked the hostess how they had gone before us no real response just that there was still one more group ahead of us. Watch as they came in and you guessed it they also had gotten here after we had on name in. Felt like leaving but after wait for 40 minutes didn’t want to go somewhere else and start the wait all over again. 5 minutes later we are sat down. Yay!!! food came out slowly. had the toast come out alone quite some time before our plates of food. As we were waiting for our plates a worker came up to us and asked how things were. I said not great had groups of people come after us sat down before us. That we were waiting for our plates and she was oh okay I’ll see what happened with the hostess. No one ever came over to talk to us about anything that happened eat our food and left. Not coming back anytime soon if ever. I’m definitely bummed had really enjoyed...

tl;dr = great for the price; great location; great service.

Before: They said a 25 minute wait was expected - it was more like 15. So that's cool. I didn't even check if there was seats for waiting inside - it was so nice outside.

Food: my drink was coffee and it was alright. Nothing too special. They had half & half and French vanilla for creamer choices. For food I ordered the asparagus frittata with fruit and pancakes as my sides. FOR FRITTATAS, your side choices are hash browns, home fries (potatoes), or fruit AND toast, muffin, biscuit, or pancakes. My frittata had hella vegetables! I was happy. I felt like it needed some salt & pepper, with some cholula as well though. My fruit bowl was sad. I got 8 pieces: 2 of each of melon, cantaloupe, watermelon, and pineapple. Somehow for the same price I could've got 5x as much potatoes baffles me. My pancakes were tasty! A little too much butter for me so I had to scrape some off, other than that it was good!

Service: Prime! The servers were on point with their refills and check-ups! Courteous and timely. A+!

Overall: I will definitely give this spot another go or two. It was getting pretty busy around lunch time - breakfast was kind of chill so maybe it'll be for breakfast.

My recommendation: Asparagus frittata. Add some cholula...
