This place is racist, I do not recommend it. My boyfriend and I visit their stand at the San Diego Scoop Festival today. After waiting in line for ice cream for 7 minutes a lady walked over to us and told us that the guy (white guy) in front of us was the last person that she was serving. So my boyfriend and I and an Indian couple behind us got out of line. Still excited about getting ice cream, we went to other ice cream stands at the festival. After some time went by the announcer on the intercom gave us a 10 minute warning till closing so we made are way to the exit. On our way to the exit we passed by the Holy Paleta stand again and noticed they were serving a white family. Assuming they decided to stay open until the festival ended we got back in line. And that is when the same lady from earlier came to us and told us again that the family before us was the last that they were serving. Once my boyfriend heard that he expressed to the lady that she stated that 15 to 20 minutes prior and they continued serving people after we left. The lady didn't care about our point and loudly reiterated they will be closing after that family. So we just walked away. While walking off I happen to notice the Indian couple watching our interaction from the sidewalk. I never felt so mistreated in my life. If this is the type of customer service you guys have at your restaurant I will...
Read morethe way the menu is set up is extremely misleading. the way its presented shows that there is steps to ordering your paleta- choosing your flavor, adding drizzle/dipping the paleta, and choosing add-ons. they dont have the prices anywhere on the menu so i asked the lady behind the counter how much the paletas are. she said between $5.25-$6.50, i chose my paleta and then she asked what drizzle and add ons id like. when we got to the register, i saw +$1.75 for the drizzle and +$0.75 for the crumbles. absolutely nowhere was it mentioned that there is additional charges for this. i asked the lady why she did not mention this when i asked her the price. it makes no sense as they have it up on the menu as if its all part of ordering a paleta. its just very misleading and i was not happy with the fact that prices are hidden. the paleta was good, but with the toppings it would have been $10 for the single popsicle which is very pricey and people deserve to know what theyre getting into. seriously why are the prices...
Read moreThese Paletas where GREAT!.. Now i did not get what I wanted.. (full disclosure, I wanted a watermelon one.. They Ran out) Now It was pretty early in the day, so not sure why they ran out of watermelon.. but they did have one Line one tucked away that they pulled from the back for me. It was the most delicious Paleta Fresca I have ever had.. I was surprised. My wife had the Mango one with tamarindo drizzle on it. she loved it . I tried it too, it was the freshest tasting mango flavor I have had in quite some time! The only negative thing about this place is that, this place is Tiny!! they have one bench outside but since their product is good.. the bench was taken, and there where people outside standing eating their treat on a hot day. Come try this place...
