Wanted to try them since their move, as I've been coming to this place since I was a child. Food was edible according to most, besides my boss, who really struggled with his steak torta that for some reason came with butter and melted American cheese? Wouldn't order the chilaquiles again, but I've had their tacos and Chile rellenos before and was happy with them at the prior location. Anyway, we referenced their menu online when ordering. The warning that online ordering is not enabled is very faint, so didn't notice until the end. Regardless, this is their official offering of a menu on Jaliscocafeca.com that links from their Google business page, and the prices are not up to date. The actual bill when they rang me up was a full 50% higher! The lady didn't seem to care, and assuming she's a regular employee, I don't blame her... as she probably deals with a litany of such complaints all the time. I didn't want to make the business' problem her problem, as she seemed very busy, but given how outrageous the situation was, I was definitely tempted. At that point I just wanted my food and to get out of there. That's just plain false advertising though, and they need to either update the prices or remove them from their website entirely. No wonder there was no mention of the total when I placed the order over the phone. What a ripoff. Extra star for the nostalgia, but it seems like their kitchen, their website... Basically...

My favorite place turned in to my worst nightmare. I order Caldo de Res. I started earthing my Caldo but it had a weird taste. I asked for extra limon still wired tasted. Asked for Mexican rice to give the Caldo a better flavor When the waitress brought me the rice I notice my Caldo already had rice in it. So I said I didn’t know it has rice in it already She said it doesn’t. I said yes look. I looked close and is was not rice . It was maggots 🤮. She apologized and felt so bad for me. She looked at the plate and felt so embarrass remove the plate. I understand is not her fault. But when She took my plate she put it in the trash instead of showing the cook Looks to me like they knew the Caldo was bad. She comes back and said. Do you any anything else. What 😮. I said he’ll no. Let me pay for my soda so I can go home. I cried so much cus this was so nasty. Is so Sad cus me mentioning my experience to my coworkers the next day. they told me GIRLlll. is the nasties restaurant. Cus It happen to one of my co workers with her bleached tasting menudo a week before. Never again. Jaliscos. Lost a 3 years costumer only the Cook knows what the hell he is feeding the costumers 🤮🥲 I gave this restauran a -100 stars I will continue sharing my story until the owner fixes his refrigerator and invest...

This place is one of the worst in San Diego…I wanted to come here because I was looking for Mexican Restaurants with good tamales but when I came in the restaurant it looked very convincing, the best thing about this is the culture and artwork that is more pleasing than the food. We were the only people in the restaurant and the lady kept trying to keep busy and took 10-15 minutes to ask us what we would like to drink. After our order was placed we heard a microwave beep because it was very quiet, no music just silence so we are assuming our food was microwaved… 10 minutes later our food comes out after the beep and the tamales are very dry and everything lacks flavor, the only thing I ate was one tamale and I was slowly eating the rice, the cups didn’t seem to be throughly cleaned and the water tasted like dirt and the pink lemonade from the soda machine tasted normal but had a bit of the dirt water after taste. This upset me because it was my first time eating here and the first time we had dinner with my boyfriend as a family bonding time. So in conclusion the food was dry and you couldn’t wash it down because the drinks...

This is not the first time I have been to Jalisco’s, but this is the first time I am reviewing it because of how much improved it is, compared to a few years back when it was at a different location. The new location is much more vibrant, spacious, and the menu has been upgraded as well. All of the choices that my family and I choice made were delicious, weather it was the Menudo (not pictured), a torta, bean and cheese burritos, or chicken Enchiladas, everything was delicious. The chips and salsa were also a good snack before our meal. The interior of the restaurant is vibrant, colorful, and has plenty of seating. Our server was friendly and helpful as well. If you are looking for alternate spot to have breakfast or lunch without a long wait, come and eat at Jalisco in Bonita. Eat up!!!
