2 stars only because the food was decent...everything else was downhill from there...
Came in and waited behind a couple in front of me who was ordering; I noticed the server wasn't wearing any gloves, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt thinking she washed her hands prior to handling the food. She rang up the customers in front of me, handled their money, took my order and plated all my food... No handwashing, no gloves, nothing! Afterwards she rang me up, and did the same thing, handled my money then began serving the next customer behind me without washing her hands or gloving up.
After working in a restaurant for 7 years I know this is in fact a health code violation, but I digress.
Went home and was pleased the food tasted pretty good; the fried pork was crunchy, and the beef stew was flavorful. I didn't think to write a review until the next day... When my wife and I both woke up with upset stomachs... I'll save the fine details, but it's safe to say our water bill will probably be higher this month due to all the toilet flushes...being from the Philippines, my wife has always had an iron stomach, but whatever we ate had her stomach upset as well.
Give this spot a try if you wanna get some decent Filipino food in the Eastlake area, but be warned they're not the most hygienic of places. You might wanna load up on probiotics before...
Read moreTHEY RIPPED ME OFF! I tried to order only 20 pcs of Lumpia but they said I have to order 25 pcs at least because one tray has 25 pcs. 25 pcs were too much for me but I had to say okay because there was no option. However when I got there to pick it up, I realized that they also have a small tray with 10 pcs. I was in a hurry back then so I didn't think of complaining about it and correcting my order! Why didn't they accept my order of 20 pcs? They were just able to give me 20 pcs with 2 small trays? They are terrible! There were two staff there and both were very unkind! My family and I won't go there ever again and we won't recommend this restaurant to anyone! I hate their attitude treating their customers! They brought it...
Read moreNever knew there were so many filipino restaurants in this area. I'm all the way in encinitas so where I am there's only one really good place and another that I know of in san marcos. I have to come back and try different dishes next time to see if my review changes. I'd love to try the milk fish and aroz caldo. I just had the chicken and rice which was good and more than enough for portion sizes. I got two sides and had I know how big the side would have just got one. In the picture I had already ate a few pieces of chicken. I also bought a bag of pandisal not sure how you spell just grew up having it but it was a great price and...
