Luna Grill Eastlake — Restaurant in Chula Vista

My wife and I have been a regular customer at Luna Grill Eastlake for a few years now, and I've always been impressed with the food, the service, and the overall atmosphere. The restaurant is located in a convenient spot in the Eastlake area, and it's always clean and well-maintained.

One of the things we love most about Luna Grill is the friendly and attentive service. Valeria, is always there to greet us with a smile and a warm welcome. She's always happy to answer our questions and make recommendations, and she goes out of her way to make sure we have a great dining experience.

The food at Luna Grill is also top-notch. The menu features a wide variety of Mediterranean dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I'm a big fan of the grilled chicken kebabs, but I've also enjoyed the falafel wraps, the hummus bowls, and the salads. Everything I've tried has been delicious.

In addition to the great food and service, Luna Grill also has a very relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The dining room is spacious and well-lit, and there's a nice outdoor patio area that's perfect for dining al fresco.

In addition to Valeria, I'd also like to give a shout-out to the manager, who is always on hand to make sure that everything is running smoothly. He's always friendly and helpful, and he's always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that his customers are happy.

I'll start by saying I LOVE Luna Grill and specifically this location! BUT... They really blew it this time... We are on a ZERO CARB diet right now, so chose 3 "Build Your Own Bowl". 2 of them were with the double "Chopped Chicken". Sadly, there was not much chicken, but the chicken there was, was NOT fresh and too many hard pieces. My Grandson complained that his teeth were hurting, so stopped eating after a few bites. Additionally, instead of the 2 sauces you are entitled to, per bowl, being on the side, so you can decide how much you want; they just dumped ALL of the sauces into the bowl, which made the lettuce completely SOAKED and the entire bowl way too salty & bitter. I've NEVER experienced this before. It was a curbside order, but They also forgot the utensils we requested. No napkins either. I'm not very mobile these days, so I called from the curb, to request the order be brought out, as I have been doing for a few years now. Which it was, after a long delay on the phone, apparently by the Manager, but only for her to tell me that they "Don't deliver to cars anymore"... $60 for this? I've been ordering curbside from here for years and NEVER had...

Homage to the Falafel

Vegetarianism has come a long way over the decade. I am so impressed that eateries believe in nutritional meal planning and flavorful eats.

I ordered the Luna Vida Bowl. The beautiful medley of colors & fresh crisp vegetables on the salad was inspirational. The falafel bites were seasoned to the depth where your stomach dances. I didn't care for the lemon vinaigrette. But I also did not-not care. Instead I added the traditional Luna vinaigrette complemented with taziki.

I've had every overpriced item on the menu but this salad was Ottimo! Oh that's Italian I meant to say! νόστιμο. And I would eat this every time. Especially if you are on a "getting to look snatched plan" for New Year's.
