Update: Starbucks issued a formal apology to me. As far as I am concerned, issue is closed between me and Starbucks. They promised to deal with the location internally. Today around 7pm 04/08/2021, I went to the store in Chula Vista Mall in Chula Vista California. When I walked in to the store I forgot the put my mask on and I put my face mask inside the store. The clerk behind the counter started scolding and schooling me. I acknowledged that I was wrong, however, the Starbucks I know is famous for courtesy and de-escalating the situation. This prompted another barista named Leon to jump into the conversation and refused to serve me while running his mouth like a machine gun. Both of them literally ganged on me when i reminded them I was from Seattle and I was very accustomed to an excellent service, not argumentative and hostile attitude. I left the store before they asked me to leave but I informed them that I would be bringing this incident into the attention of the corporate. This event made especially Leo more hostile and he was yelling at. I did not raise my voice to neither of them and I was very courteous but very disappointed. As we all know, if I really need a bad attitude, I could go to a 7-11. Furthermore 150ft away, there is a Panera bread that I could patronize. Read moreI was walking by with a friend and saw how the people at Starbucks were already cleaning even though it was 9:33 and they close at 10pm. 30 minutes earlier is crazy but we walked away out of respect anyway. Then we turn around because we hear a door being tapped and this girl is at the Starbucks door asking if it’s closed and pointing at the door. The guy at the register full on flirts with her with a hand gesture and a smirk. He lets her right in so we assumed that we could walk in too. We get close to the door and it’s me and my friend (guy) and they make hand gestures to leave. Seems like they only let lonely girls inside for whatever reason. It was still not 10pm though, they closed way too early and that’s an absolute disgrace. I know people who work at Panda Express and their customer service is amazing. They close at the exact time they have to close and even let customers later even though they must be tired from working all day but they are not lazy like these Starbucks people. Full on getting discriminated out here because that’s what happened no? A girl was let in but I wasn’t. Why wasn’t I allowed in? Read moreI ordered before 4 people it they made the four people drink that contained two or more drinks per an order. I simply order one drink I patiently waited and asked about my drink the barista couldn’t even look at me and answer he was working on my drink or not. The cashier just says I’ll help you and the barista with anger just tosses my drink on the side bar. The drink I ordered wasn’t even done right they added another flavor of cold foam. The worst part is when we walked out the barista and the cashier started talking about us to the customers inside they just kept looking at us. When we were never rude just tried to communicate with the barista and cashier and for some reason they couldn’t do so properly back. Anyways last time I order a drink from here it was a horrible experience what we experience they are rude, they do your drink whenever is convenient for them, and the drinks don’t taste the same as other Starbucks.
