I had an admirable experience at this Starbucks in Chula Vista, even though I'm not usually a fan. I arrived at 12 pm on a Friday. Not crowded inside but definitely the drive-thru had a line. I ordered a nitro vanilla coffee that was prepared as expected. With a couple of hours to spare and a burst of creativity, I found this location to be a reasonable spot to work on my laptop. Based on my optics it appears this Starbucks respects diversity and equity. The staff was ethnically diverse and appeared to be LGBTQ-friendly because of what my eyes could see. What stood out the most was their acceptance of a customer who seemed to have a mental circumstance. She used expletives and spoke loudly but was never interrupted or asked to quiet down. She seemed to be a regular, harmless customer who enjoyed her Starbucks drinks. She was at a table and faced the wall. Heck, I've spoken to walls before. Thus appearing she may be conscientious of others. This level of respect and acceptance from the employees earned this Starbucks a five-star rating from me. During my visit, I also overheard employees undergoing training nearby. They discussed topics like "respecting the brand," "creating safe spaces," and "positive leadership." And the training manager (??) asked depth and breath questions like, "What are your beliefs about work priorities?" It was evident that this Starbucks aims to meet both customers and employees where they are, regardless of what may be considered "normal." High Five Plenty of available outlets Trendy spacious seating with natural light Unlocked restrooms (winning) Friendly greetings upon entering Indoor and outdoor seating options Areas of Growth Upkeep with sanitizing restrooms Thumbs Down The only downsides were the unusual parking situation and potentially dangerous entrance on a busy street. Despite these minor issues, this Starbucks left a lasting impression. “What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation.” — Glenn Close

Yesterday (7/13/23) I took my pops to this Starbuck so we could just enjoy the atmosphere, sit down and talk. We place our order and also bought a cup, but even though the price was $12.95 I was charged more than it actually was ($14.95). After I went home I checked my receipt and brought it back today (7/14/23) to get a refund, but was told that they could not returned the refund to my Starbucks card so it was return to a store credit Starbuck card. This I don't understand and don't see the reason why. The atmosphere, the food and the service was great! but the price gorging didn't sit well with me.

I've been really sick... and all I wanted was a medicine ball tea... not a hard request... after waiting 30 min in drive thru line... i finally get my tea... im in a rush to get home to take some meds... and as soon as I park I taste my tea... and its NOT EVEN A MEDICINE BALL.... just a regular peach tea! What Starbucks cant even make a medicine ball... terrible service and I wont be coming back.

Nice location for customers nearby, is good in there. Open space to sit inside and outside for anyone close by. Reason for two stars: ever since they open this place customer service, sucks. The worst customer service ever. Very rude, no work ethic, very undesirable cashiers and manegement is not support when mentioning bad customer service. When complained about cashiers rudeness when taking orders they give horrible drinks that taste more watery than what has been order. Also, Today around Noon while waiting in Line I saw two ladies trying to order something from the cashier, not only they were rude to their amicable request, they also had no tac to say things politely to customers and were telling them to get out of line and order after. What kind of customer service was that. The saddest part is that even manegement was rude as well. They were in line, this two ladies, and there was absolutely no reason for them to be treated with such rudeness at all. The cashiers not only came up with the answer "because they were busy they have a need to be rude to those ladies and other customers, including me!" That is the only excuse they provided! and if u say something they will even make your drink terrible and is a waste of money and had to throw it away. This place should be inspected. It is sad how bad they are when busy. There is never an excuse for rudeness at all no matter how busy they are, is not excuse. Many go and spends more than 10dlrs a day for a drink that can be made at home, but most choose to spend our hard earn money to this facility to receive rudeness! Dont think so. Will definetely do not recommend an starbucks from this location at all. Feel bad those old ladies and saddest part is that many customers were willing to accept that kind of treatment for a coffee. This location needs to make major changes for manegement and...

So I normally do not go to this store—more like I stay away from it. All the times I have been to this store except for today. My drink has always been either made wrong or they give me something else. This has been true for when I have ordered frappes, espresso over ice with a splash of non dairy milk, iced tea, ect. Today, I had no choice but to go here. I made a mobile order at the store in Main Street and when I arrived at the store. The traffic to enter the drive thru was all the way backed up passed the light. And the parking was full to capacity, people honking at other cars to get out, just a nightmare. I called the store to cancel my mobile order. They told me they are unable to cancel my order but that I can go to another store. So I did exactly that—and the closest store with a drive thru was the one in 3rd ave that I completely stop going. I told myself let’s just wing it. Something is better than nothing—especially if I already paid for it and will not receive a refund. So instead of losing my payment I got in the drive thru at the 3rd ave store. It was very quick they did not have a rush like the store in main and they made the drink that I ordered correctly. I never got the name of the employee at the window at around 12:57pm Wednesday, August 2,2024–but you were amazing and so was the barista who made the drink. Because of you I will give this store...
