Really cool ice house in Cibolo that manages to attract some decent live music. They’ve got a full bar and some decent draft brews - including one of my faves - Thirsty Goat! In addition to the full bar, they have a food truck out in the nice backyard/stage area. The inside of the bar is very open and airy with huge garage door sized openings to let the summer breeze blow through. Here’s one of my favorite things about Old Main Icehouse - they have two bar areas on concert nights. This might seem trivial to some, but I like the fact that if you open a tab at one bar, you are able to use your tab at the other bar. This is convenient in case one of the bars is backed up. But I will give them credit - each bar seemed to serve the drinks quickly. In the backyard concert area, there are plenty of tables and seating, but most of the tables have to be reserved (and paid for) on the nights of concerts. No big deal though. Who wants to sit down during a live music event, right? There’s a TON of free parking across the street (but it can fill up at times) and also free street parking available if you don’t mind walking a block or two.

I have been coming here since the beginning, no longer. This place will kick you out for having kids....babies or older kids after their "minor curfew". So it's not a place you can see a live music show if you have children of any age because you're not allowed. I was just here on open mic night 13th with my daughter and sat there and ate Chinese we brought in from town (after 8pm) and there was no problem. Liability for a child is no different legally than liability for an adult in an establishment such as Old Main. Don't agree that families should be disallowed. Get a waiver that people can sign freeing you of liability, or.....just keep losing customers like myself. If it's a TABC issue that's different but I don't believe it is, and that's not the reason I was given. This photo is proof of my statement about the 13th. I won't be back.

Saw this place on Facebook and as always looking for something new. There is a large amount of parking across the street but the parking lot can fill up fast as well . This tells you how great this little town is. The inside is small but the patio area is very spacious with several tables to sit at. There is a stage and the music was awesome! I felt like I was at home in my own back yard. The food trucks vary. I did not care much for the two food trucks there that night. (I won't say which because this is based on my taste not anyone else's) drinks were good and there are $2 shots when you hear the train horn 😁. I loved this place and so did my family who attended. The age group is a mixture and dog friendly. Try this place and always judge fir yourself.

I came in with my friend, we are both young mothers. We brought both of our toddlers and I brought my baby. They were all very well-behaved and quiet the entire time and not a disturbance to anybody around. We read on the website that this place was family-friendly so we didn’t think it’d be a big deal to bring them. The bartender was very cold and rude and unhelpful when I asked if they had beers, she gave me a look like I was stupid. I have never been there before so I didn’t know, I didn’t see the drafts, all I could see was a ton of stuff for mixed drinks. So that experience was just very offputting and unwelcoming off the bat. Throughout the remainder of our stay, the majority of the people there were giving us very obvious dirty looks and a couple of the people that I interacted with were very rude and stuck up. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I am new to San Antonio and up until now, the people here have been super nice everywhere I’ve gone so this was very strange. (And before you wonder, I grew up in a small rural town on a farm. I noticed that a lot of the people here seemed more on the country folk side.) I’m not sure if people didn’t like to see two moms out at a bar or what, but we both only had one beer each so we weren’t intoxicated by any means. Super strange experience and I left feeling agitated and upset and I will not be...

If I could leave NO stars I would! Found this place on FB SA Foodie. I will NEVER return. We brought our Kids and dogs because it says KID friendly on their Facebook. We walked around back because we had our dogs and did not walk through the front door where a supposed sign states "family friendy until sun down". Not once did any staff member that we spoke to or while we were sitting advised us that kids could not be there after a certain time. One very rude staff member said 8:30pm , I was not at the table when this staff member approached. I went over and asked another employee if I could speak to a manager to recommend a change on the fb page. He rudely stated "he (the manager) is just going to tell you the same thing they told those people" I then showed him the fb page and advised him it says KID friendly with no time limit. He very rudely stated there was a sign on the front door. I said we did not walk through the front door as we have dogs with us. These signs are not posted anywhere else. I asked what time "dusk" or sun down was and the very rude "manager" said 9pm. I informed him they should state that on FB or have a sign on the back fence. Horrible customer service, drinks were not real good either. Only good thing was the food truck that was there called "what...

Interesting story after the Journey music ended last night Saturday, July 20th. I ordered a hotdog from the food truck. When my buzzer went off indicating my food was ready I got up from my table to go pick it up but was met half way there by a young woman who was bringing it to me. I thought that was nice. I then asked her if and where some condiments might be located as I wanted to add some mayo to my hot dog. She then told me I didn’t ask for mayo, odd statement I thought. Before I could say another word this man came up to me very irate telling to stop hassling his daughter. Very calmly I stated I’m not hassling anybody and was just asking if there were any condiments available specifically mayo for my hot dog. It was at this point he really got in my face about hassling his daughter. Then some much bigger guy steps in and tells me to just go to my table. Al and Yolanda were standing close to me and Al told the guy to just chill, that I wasn’t hassling anybody. I then turned to Al and said let’s just sit down and let it go, these people are drunk and just looking for trouble, so we did. I then proceeded to walk into the main building to speak to a manager about my experience. We’ll see what comes out of this. I asked for the owner to call me about...
