In case anyone missed it there is a fishing pond a stocked fishing pond where people are welcome to come and fish for free 24/7 how cool is this?!? And still at work in progress I believe they have plans to put more benches lighting and a fishing dock and it's not very big but that's okay it's still cool especially if you got little kids and you want to just go and feed the dogs and let them catch a couple perch I mean that's awesome. I would add that it is a natural area and always look for snakes and such and really common sense I mean it can't be helped so it's part of the ecosystem but I said to say that again because I mean hey mom go grab the groceries Dad hang out with the kids and fish or vice versa how cool I mean or go fishing and then run into HEB and get your groceries or snack I mean that's just too cool okay I can't say enough cool about that there's also like that big nature trailers it's got concrete you can jog around and I think it's a couple miles really I mean it's huge I mean Cibolo is of course known for all this trails and all that but anyways I just have to stay at one more time.
And on final note I want to say that I always feel safe when I go to this HEB I mean I have a pickup truck and there's always stuff in the bed of my truck and I never ever ever worry about somebody going and stealing something out of the back of it and I don't want to say that I leave my windows down with the keys in it and my dog hanging out in there but yeah safety is a huge deal and I always feel safe there and without policing you know like there's not like a bunch of cops standing around watching you you know it's not that it's just you have this safe feeling there and that's kind of a big deal to me and others reading. Who by the way if you've read all this I am very thankful and hope that if you like it you'll like it and consider following my reviews if you're into positive reviews as I attend to save negative reviews for all the other people but if you like positive reviews consider following me especially if you have a dog and enjoy seeing dog pictures cuz most of them my pictures have dogs in them and I will work on getting some pond pictures with my dog in it for this review here in the future so thank you for reading this very long hopefully informative helpful review of my favorite HEB.
PS. note to the HEB staff I lived in Kerrville for many years and naturally went to y'all's first original HEB for all of my groceries and I want to let you guys know that you guys are equal to the HEB in Kerrville, If not better because they do not have the awesome fishing pond that is super cool. Anyways keep up the great work y'all!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is regarding mishandling of a prescription that was faxed to the new Cibolo HEB from the New Braunfels VA (Veterans Administration) Clinic on 4/06/2023. The prescription was for an antibiotic to treat a suspected UTI (Urinary Tract Infection). The voucher to pay for the prescription was faxed along with all the necessary information to process the order properly and not bill the Veteran (myself) for the cost. This did NOT happen. When I went to pick up the prescription, my Tricare Insurance was billed, and I was charged for the prescription. I refused to pay for it, since my husband lost his job and we can't afford it, and told the girl at the drive-through that they we not supposed to bill my secondary insurance because the VA pays in full for the medication, and that a voucher was faxed with the prescription. She told me the VA had not sent the voucher, and I would have to pay for the medication. I told them I wouldn't, and left. Two days later the automated system called me to remind me that the prescription still needed to be picked up. I called them, and spoke to a man, telling him about the vouchers and that they were not supposed to bill my insurance. He told me there were no vouchers either. I told him to return the medicine to stock because I wasn't paying out of pocket for it when the VA covers my medications. I called the VA, who sent me the proof that they had in fact, faxed the voucher to HEB with the prescription. I still don't have the prescription. What is wrong with the pharmacy at a new HEB that they can't even process an order from the VA properly, thus causing this veteran harm in not getting the necessary medicine for an infection? I was shopping at that location between commissary visits, but since this blunder, I won't be shopping there, or any other HEB in the future. This error is unacceptable. UPDATE: After this review was posted, Brian, the Pharmacy Manager reached out to discuss how the situation occurred, he apologized profusely and got my prescription filled. When I picked it up, he went over and beyond expectations in explaining the medication, how to use it, possible side effects to look for. This pharmacy has regained my trust...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was not impressed with my first visit to this location.. it was clean, organized and well stocked however, I came across multiple issues. I conducted all of my shopping, and they had some great deals! First being a 6oz. Of blackberries for $0.97! Perfect, so I decided to stock up and buy 8 to freeze a few containers. Next deal I came across was $1 off lean ground Turkey. They were out of the 93% lean, so I was bummed about that, but it was later in the evening, so I wasnāt too concerned. Next I had seen a 9-pack of raw oysters for 6.97! What a deal!! I decided to grab four bags. Once at the register however, as I was checking out, I decided to keep an eye on prices for each item. Blackberries rang up for $2.97 a pack. $2 more than the sign said!!! Then, the oyster packages rang up for $11.97⦠$5 more than the sign said. I waited to see if the cashier would adjust prices, but he didnāt until I said something. I first mentioned the blackberries to which he replied oh yeah, weāre running that deal today. And then manually input the correct price for each individual package. That was just slightly frustrating, because if I had not said anything. I would have been over charged. Next I said something about the oysters. The computer price didnāt match the sign. He said sorry the computer says $11.97. So I said okay then I only want two bags. I finished checking out, but was still frustrated and adamant that the original sign said $6.97. So I walked back to the seafood section and sure enough it still said $6.97 ea. so I took a photo on my phone and brought it up to the register with me. They said oh thatās weird and decided to refund me $10. I appreciate the refund, but I asked them if I could get the other 2 I had originally intended on purchasing, and they said no because the sign was wrong. At this point I was frustrated. This location needs to make sure that computer prices match up with signage. I most likely wonāt be back at...
