Been interested in the place for some time, got the chance to try it out today. it was the Don himself serving us today and he was very kind and recommended us the best. He said we’d ought to get a large plate instead of medium if we’re hungry and let me tell you, I see why. It fed me enough for the day though but get the large if you’re trying to max out. The prices are great and it’s only a $1.50 more for the large which is why I’d also recommend it if you ever come by. The salsa is some of the best I ever had in a restaurant. The salsa rojo is made with Chile de árbol which gives it the kick most rojo salsas miss. The green is made with habanero and it’s just as good. Both salsas are flavorful and got a kick I can actually taste. Can’t forget about the handmade corn tortillas. Very good quality and nothing less than what I expected from handmade tortillas. Overall, a very good restaurant that I’m glad I came to try out. Definitely will be coming back to this place if I ever...

When I got to my last taco, the man whom I assume is the owner approached me and asked if I wanted to try another stewed beef taco. When I tell you I had a flash of ecstasy, I mean it. Combined with the aforementioned toppings, I was greeted with a flavor harmony that had me looking down at my meal in disbelief.
Delicious food, lovely service, rich atmosphere. ...
Read moreIn an already crowded "birria scene" where thriving Mexican communities offers so many grate choice Don Sosa's tender flavorful birria served with consome in this case is a full bodied broth that on its own could be a meal by adding a handful of the condiments provided. Despite the name serving more than just birria they offer Barbacoa and fresh made tortillas to order and of course tacos and quesadillas for the timid. In a very unassuming strip on Cicero Avenue you can park and step into Birrieria Don Sosa where a simple, traditional "mexican food" staple is being prepared and served to an outstanding quality, in my opinion this restaurant is a stand out for those that know and enjoy the food and a hidden gem to be discovered by...
