Jalisco Express Restaurant — Restaurant in Cicero

This review is not for the food. The food was absolutely delicious! But my first experience with the restaurant through uber eats was absolutely terrible. It will never be done again. I ordered through uber eats and I got my order and there was so many bags for what I ordered. I asked the lady if all of this was mine and she told me yes. So I took them all. I opened my food and realized that I got someone else's order along with mine. I tried to call the restaurant and no answer. So I continue to eat my food and as I was finishing up I get a call from the restaurant. The lady on the phone had told me I got someone else's order on top of mine. I told her yes I tried to call you and no answer. She continued to tell me that she needs to contact the other customer... I told her okay? She hung up and I never got a call back from them. 10 minutes later I get a call from the customer(the customer that ordered food that I got along with my order).. I had never given the restaurant my permission, nor did they ask if they could give my number to this lady. This was an invasion of my privacy, that lady now knows my name and my number. So here I am talking to her saying that I'm sorry, but it's not my fault and there is nothing I can do. The restaurant had told her to come pick up her food from my house. I could NOT believe they told her to do that! First off I would never give my address to a stranger. Second off I could have did something to her food( I would never, but you get the point). Overall experience was absolutely mind blowing and this will be my last time ordering...

Such a horrible experience with this restaurant. Gave us our order incorrect when called to tell them it turned out to be such a drama because they just couldn’t agree that they did wrong. When the employee finally admitted that she ASSUMED we asked for tacos because that’s what everyone asks for the older lady still tried to go on. Finally they agree to change the order only if we brought the incorrect order which was fine but I found weird because during this pandemic why tell the customers to do that? Makes me think is this place really following protocol? We get there and the lady was still mad about the situation. I had very cold food and brought that to her attention and said I would like new tacos for an order because they had gotten cold and no way where we going to eat that. Explained to her that if they did this correctly we would not have to come back. She continued to argue about how that wasn’t her fault that her employee did nothing wrong and I said your employee just told you she ASSUMED we wanted tacos. Either way such a horrible experience. Honestly worst experience I had ever. We are the customers we are providing and supporting the business and just the fact that they argued back and forth was very unprofessional. Management needs to really have a talk to that one specific employee about her attitude. The other young lady admitted her wrong and even apologized. Just think things could have deff been handled...

Supper delicioso! This hidden little gem in Cicero surprised you as you walk in and admire authentic beautiful artwork of Mexico , such beauty this timeless mural they have and all the decor pairs so nicely feels welcoming. The waitress was welcoming at first but not attentive the whole time I had to call her over for anything and she didn’t bother asking if we needed anything on her own accord nor asked if we wanted boxes. Customer service is the face of places so I cannot give 5 stars hands down for this sadly to such a nice place. She was the same with take out orders just not motivated. Although the food saves this place with complimentary warmed chips and great salsa, the menu has a variety to choose and we ordered tacos and horchata and the tacos were on spot nicely seasoned the rice and beans paired so well with fluffy rice and delicious beans but they need more cheese on those beans ! And the horchata is nicely sweet not over bearing like other places well made and rich savory taste. I love a place with fresh lemons because garnishes are important and those salsas are top spicy and delicious but I will say they don’t have the traditional salsa squeeze bottles they give you cups which is inconvenient.
