Really like the bread here. I think it's still at a good price compared to other nearby bakeries and it tastes delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. I've gotten a few cakes there and they were really good too. I'm surprised it's not mentioned more often when people ask where a good local bakery is. I've had nothing but good experiences and when I do come across someone who has been there, they usually agree that it's a good place to get pan dulce. They even have ice cream during the summer. If I'm not mistaken they MIGHT have champurrado in the winter but I need to double check that part. Either way, this is now my go to...

DO NOT! Drop a single bread at this bakery. You will have pay for. They stack their bread 3-4 on top of each other, then it is your fault you dropped it. Don’t need to apologize, the owner doesn’t care. He has no people skills, terrible customer service. He is greedy to the penny. This will put a curse on this busy. Greedy businesses as this one will not last for ever. This was recommended to me I for sure will not recommend and people should know about this business as a GREDDY place. One of the best true Mexican bakeries around. I have been coming here for many years - while living in Cicero now; I come from Lyons - and the place has had its ups and downs but the product has remained mostly consistent. The reason they run out so fast is because the bakery is good! People just have to come earlier rather than later to get what they want.

I choose this bakery above Aracellys any day! Not even the tamales at Aracellys are good anymore.
