The Food is honestly out of this world scrumptious! 😊 The atmosphere inside and on the outside patio is amazing! It is very comfortable, cool - as in not sweaty hot, and lots of room - especially when it's very busy I never felt cramped. I must repeat that the food was incredible! I was pleasantly surprised! The chicken was huge and so yummy, the fries were big and thick and NOT greasy - they were my favorite! The pepperoni pizza had 8 slices for 24 bucks and it was everything you want in a pizza! The cheese OMG I can still remember that first bite I was in shock from the hot delicious flavor gooey and scrumptious melting in my mouth all my senses tingling and screaming in delight!!! Yes it was that good! The food was surprisingly really great! The few things that were irritating was no boxes you cannot save any of the food to take with you. I had 3 young kids with me and they couldn't eat everything, it would have been nice to take for a snack later. The other annoying thing was the pumps with catsup, ranch, mustard, etc all the sauces were all empty and even though I told the employees no one would refill them. That sucked. I love the catsup with fries but I was denied 😂, I did survive obviously!!! Overall I humbly enjoyed this experience at the Cincinnati Zoo! For a fast food place it was really nice.

I was hoping they would offer composting year round, but apparently not. :( They have gluten free hot dog buns and hamburger buns. The fryer is used only for fries they told us. They offer gluten free packages brownies which are pretty good. They definitely didn't nail our order, we had some mix ups with cheese and such on the burgers. But the staff was friendly during our visit. The facility seemed clean. The apple something or other burger is very strange! It had apple pie filling on it. I like weird flavor mixes but this was a firm nope for me. I forgot to take a pic of the gf burger before it was mostly eaten. 🙃 we paid about 15 a person. Not bad, not great. The smiling staff covered a lot of ground with us.

Base Camp Café is a dine in or out on the patio restaurant. There was a line to the front door but line moves fast since most waiting are groups and 2 cashiers taking orders. Pics are just inside the doors. They have Larosa's pizza (whole or by slice), burgers, and hot dogs. It took about 20 minutes to get food which I found reasonable ordering a whole pizza and the amount of food people ordered before me. Pizza was piping hot. You can't just bite into it, let it cool down. Has the same great taste. Most tables inside were full but since it was nice we sat outside. Plenty of tables there. Always a nice place to stop when hungry.

Forget about anyone greeting you or saying hello, even though there was hardly anyone else in the restaurant. The woman behind the counter appeared really put out to walk up to us to see what we wanted. My wife and I each had trays, but after my wife asked for 2 slices of pepperoni pizza, the clerk handed her the paper plate and turned away. She didn't ask if my wife wanted anything else. She didn't even look at me or ask what I wanted as she sliced the plastic off a package of paper plates using her fingernail. When I managed to get her attention again, I asked if there was more pepperoni pizza because there was only one slice left on the platter. Not listening to me, she just handed me a paper plate with the last slice from the platter. I asked again and was met with a glassy stare, so I settled for a plain slice. The pizza was decent for a fast food place in a zoo, or I'd give the place 1 star. Also, it's a...

The zoo was amazing. We decided to go on and grab lunch while we were there. I have to say that this was the single worst place I've ever eaten at in my life (and I've ate at some pretty bad places!). I could understand getting the food order wrong three times, but what I can't understand is the attitude. Whoever the girl was working October 27th (where you get your food) - she most definitely did not want to be there. She was extremely rude when I simply asked for a order correction on a hamburger - she rolled her eyes, huffed, and made jokes about it to the kitchen staff while I was standing there. I wasn't going to say anything because I wasn't about to make a scene at a zoo.

Honestly, if you're at this zoo, do yourself a favor and eat whatever the warthogs were eating - whatever it is, it has to be an improvement to the slop that this...
