Two Seven Two — Restaurant in Cincinnati

Love the pastries, service not so much. Been there a few times and everytime I encounter the older lady with the short hair seems less than welcoming. I came in a got a few pastries, felt awkward them picking out. Felt like she wanted me to finish quickly. No interaction, nothing. She rang me up and boxed my pastries while I swiped my card and finished my transaction. Before I was done, she was holding the box out and waiting for me to grab it, seeming annoyed, while I'm still finishing my payment on the machine. Once I was done, she didn't even ask if I wanted a receipt, didn't say "have a nice day" or anything. Just looked pass me to the guy next to me and continued on. Even when I said thank you, she didn't respond. Just because your pastries are good doesn't mean you don't need people skills or proper customer service. I love the pastries but the service makes me not...

As I chew on the most delectable bite of their pan au chocolate, I have to say(ehm, after I take a sip of coffee, because speaking with your mouth full is rude) this is THE Best Pan au chocolate I've ever had! Now I've had my fair share of croissants. Ireland was my favorite, until now. Right here in our very own Clifton, Cincinnati Ohio I have found my champion. You can't imagine how happy this makes me😄! Thank you to the magic hands that created, yea, formed this magnificent mouth treasure. You have made my day! I will most certainly be back. Even as I am half way through this buttery, flakey, chocolate dream come true, I'm pondering.... should I have another? I will branch out to sample the other buttery offerings upon my next visit. Must go place for pastries in Cincinnati. They recently opened and have lots of unique pastries and croissants. I think they have revolving menu that you can check each week on their instagram. I tried a few of their items like Dreamsicle (iced coffee drink) with espresso, orange or lemon pellegrino, house vanilla (very refreshing) Masala milk tea (lovely cinnamon flavor) Croissant with sweet corn cream, blackberry, and honeycomb (my favorite 😍 please get this) Croissant with Za'atar, whipped feta, lemon, and thyme (if you love feta cheese and savory croissants, this is the perfect one) Cherry, Almond, and Oat Bostock( it was really good, too)
