Night Hunters — Attraction in Cincinnati

A really fun small mammal house with bats and other surprisingly active nocturnal animals. The fennec fox is so cute, last time I went there with my girlfriend and apparently the keepers had given the fennec a little bone toy for enrichment/play and it kept running around with it in it’s mouth, and excitedly showing it to all the people stopping by, showing off like “look at this super awesome bone I got”. And knowing fennec foxes, im pretty sure the glass is somewhat soundproof because otherwise I would probably be hearing their little screams of Joy. Definitely a part of the zoo worth...

I love the nocturnal house, it is one of my absolute favorite places at the zoo. They have a lot of really nice animals with big enclosures. However a lot of the animals were pacing. This made me sad and uncomfortable. They did not have any enrichment and it was easy to tell. Please, I can't give 5 stars in good faith knowing that so many animals do not have adequate enrichment to prevent pacing or other...

Other than just nocturnal cats, the zoo updated this area to include(but didnt just limit these are all I can remember off the top of my head) a snake, an owl, some aardvarks, and both fruit bats and vampire bats to be in this area. Just be careful in here, its a bit dark until your eyes adjust...
