I wouldn't recommend that anyone spend their money here. So first off I was feeling a little hungry tonight and decided that I didn't want to cook. So instead I decided to go to the Wendy's close to my house. When I pulled up to the drive-thru speaker I was greeted by a nice young man who spoke very well. Upon starting my order, because I've been to this particular place a few weeks before and they didn't have what I wanted so I asked if they actually had it before I started ordering. So the young man tells me they have what I want, I proceeded to order my food upon ordering I made a few changes after ordering because I forgot to say them while ordering. When I pulled up to the window to pay I was rudely addressed by some female with a headset on about how unhappy she was about the changes I made to my order. Who's apparently not aware that if I or anyone else wasn't coming to this place she wouldn't even have this job. This is unacceptable behavior from someone who is supposed to be in customer service and if she were my employee she would definitely be reprimanded and or fired for this behavior. I was always wondering why this place is always empty when I ride pass it and now I know it's poor customer service and this is why a lot of restaurants are going out of business. Again this is unacceptable from any restaurant employee who's job is to take care of the customer. Wendy's on Gest Street Cincinnati Ohio needs to do better then this. I wouldn't be surprised to hear if in the next year this place isn't closing it's doors because of employees like her she is definitely detrimental to this place...
Read moreWell, I swore off fast food in the US after I went to Japan in 2019. I did well, not eating fast food again until I went to Japan again in 2023. Then I was not to get fast food again until another trip.
Except I made the mistake of coming here today and being immediately reminded why I swore off fast food in the US. I was in a late night situation where this was the place I was going to have to eat if I wanted to eat during work.
Shitty service by shitty employees with attitudes, as complained about by other reviewers, cold ass fries. Cheese with hard orange corners from sitting out too long. And you have to keep in mind that 2 burgers and a fry isn't $4 anymore. For my $13 I could add $2 and get a real burger from Rooster's AND a 3 piece nugget with cheesy bacon wedges. And by nugget, I mean actual chunks of white meat. Unfortunately it wasn't an option, but I do take that meal over any fast food. It's basically the same cost, it is what has replaced fast food for me.
You can go to these same places in Japan, and the problems I raise simply don't happen. It's not even like the actual food in better over there, Wendy's still tastes like Wendy's (it probably doesn't have some of the chemicals that the US allows yet the rest of the world bans in food) but it's the service that is the difference, your food will be fresh, employees will not be nasty. If these supposedly grown people want livable wages from this kind of work, do the job half as decently as they do it overseas.
In closing, thanks for making me remember that I shouldn't eat fast food until I...
Read moreCame last week on May 2nd. I ordered ahead on the app. 2 kids meals, 4 biggie bag meals. I selected pick up in the drive thru. I get to the speaker about 15-20 minutes after I placed the order and gave my name, they said I had to come inside for an online order, I tried to say I slected for drive thru, they said, no, you still have to come inside for online orders.
As I come inside, I walk by 2 cars pulled forward waiting on frostys, and see 2 other people inside, 1 for a food delivery and another trying to place an order. They told the man wanting to place an order he had to go through the drive thru because the lobby was closed! (It was barely 6pm) I give a look and they said, "no, you're good to come in." The delivery person gets the order and leaves, I'm waiting 10 minutes before both customers in the 2 cars that were pulled forward come in. My order is currently half made. 5 minutes later, the 2 customers finally get their frostys and leave, I'm STILL needing 1 more fry, 1 more burger, and 1 more drink. It took the next 5 minutes for those last few things, despite them getting drive thru moving. So overall wait was about 20-25 minutes AFTER the initial 15 minutes of driving to get there after placing the order.
All the while I was waiting, there were two teenage... I think... girls, running around, laying on the benches, coming to the counter asking for more stuff, messing around with the staff, etc. And the lobby was DISGUSTING. This was the first time I've ever been to this Wendys, and...
