Visiting Filipiniana Philippine Café one cannot miss trying their signature Halo-Halo, a delightful Filipino dessert that truly embodies the essence of Filipino culinary tradition. This vibrant and refreshing treat offers a spectacular mix of flavors and textures, making it a must-try for both locals and tourists alike.

Presentation and Ingredients: The Halo-Halo at the cafe is a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. Served in a tall, clear glass, it beautifully showcases its colorful layers. Starting from the bottom, you'll find sweetened beans, nata de coco, and jackfruit, followed by a generous portion of finely shaved ice drenched in evaporated milk. Topping it off are slices of rich leche flan and a scoop of creamy ube ice cream, which adds a delightful splash of purple. The addition of crunchy pinipig (toasted rice flakes) and a dollop of sweet macapuno (coconut sport) strings further elevates the dessert.

Taste and Texture: Each spoonful of Halo-Halo offers a harmonious blend of sweet, creamy, and refreshing flavors. The contrast between the icy cold shaved ice and the various soft, chewy, and crunchy ingredients creates a delightful textural experience. The sweet beans and jackfruit provide a natural sweetness, which is perfectly balanced by the creamy, slightly caramelized flavor of the leche flan and the unique taste of the ube ice cream. The hint of coconut from the macapuno strings adds an exotic touch that ties all the flavors together.

Overall Experience: Enjoying their halo-halo is not just about savoring a delicious dessert; it's an immersive cultural experience. The dessert captures the spirit of Filipino cuisine, blending various influences and traditional ingredients into a cohesive and delightful dish. It's an ideal choice for those looking to cool down on a hot day or end their meal on a high note.

In conclusion, this cafe’s Halo-Halo is a standout dessert that exemplifies the richness and diversity of Filipino food culture. Whether you’re a fan of traditional Filipino desserts or looking to try something new, this Halo-Halo is sure to leave you satisfied and...

A 2nd trip to this location provided a better understanding of the food and a chance to find a couple more favorites. The food can best be described as a cross between latino food and chinese food. Many of the food items even have latino names.

Today I got the Pata Frita, a fried piglet portion (2 legs) similar to lechon asado. Crunchy skin with small pockets of meat. My favorite was the Bistec, a spanish name for polomilla type steak but cooked in small squares chinese style without veggies, delicious. Then the Picadillo, ground beef vrry similar to the latino dish with the same name, pretty good. The last dish was Caldereta, a beef cooked in a typical latino caldero, very tasty. 2 desserts, our favorite the purple cake which I am guessing is made from taro and is frosted. Last a large square, rubbery with gummy bear consistency and topped with caramelized sugar which I liked.

I came across this Filipino type restaurant in the same strip center as Saigon Deli, about 4 doors down. They have a variety of authentic foods to offer that run out fairly quickly. I was 4th in line and saw 3 items run out while I waited. One was 1/2 a fried piglet which I would have bought given the chance.

I opted for the 2 meats with rice combo. One was adobo beef and the other a pork stew. Their food is very flavorful and savory. It is close in style to latino foods but the flavor profile is a bit different with a hint of asian spices. I liked the adobo most while the wife was very enthused with the bbq pork skewers. The skewer while very tasty, the meat was a bit dry and tough.

They have no menu since they make day to day specials. There are some savory pastries as well, we had a delicious purple cake they only make on weekends. They have drinks such as boba and teas with milk. Definitely want to go back and try some more of the filipino dishes I saw run out. Come...

Hey there! Just wanted to give a shoutout to Filipiniana Philippine Cafe—it's a gem! 🌟

First off, the prices here are so reasonable, especially considering how pricey things have gotten lately. And the food? Authentic Filipino goodness right here. Seriously, I haven't found anywhere else nearby that even comes close.

What's really cool is their daily changing menu. You never know what delicious Filipino dish you're gonna get, and they keep it updated on Facebook so you're never out of the loop.

Oh, and let's talk desserts—Halo-Halo. It's the real deal. I've had it both here and in the Philippines, and trust me, this place nails it. Even my Filipino friends agree that visited from the Philippines agree!

Plus, the staff? Super friendly and always ready to help. And kudos to the owner for hiring college students—it's awesome to see someone supporting education like that.

Whether you're Filipino or not, I totally recommend giving this place a try. It's a taste of home (or an exciting new cuisine!) right in our...

Their service was way off when I went. Not sure if they were stressed or where dealing with some issues, but it was pretty off-putting and I just ended up getting their Ube Cake to go instead. They don't have really have a menu, but have some of it on their Facebook page and some posters of their desserts around. They have a cafeteria setup of their food up front. So, you just pick and choose what you want to eat. Anyways, the Ube Cake was good. Light and fluffy, but kind of wished that it has some more of the the starchy ube filling to have more texture.
