Fuji Hibachi Express（W Waters Ave，Tampa） — Restaurant in Citrus Park

11/2023 Update: Still a super clean establishment BUT the food... THE FOOD... was awful!!! Spent almost $100 the other day on takeout for my birthday and disappointed is an under statement. Whoever was cooking did not know how to add flavor to the food and they murdered already dead food. Overcooked the chicken wings. They were so hard there was barely any meat left on them. The steak hibachi severly overcooked. Yes, we asked for well done but it was so overcooked you couldn't even chew it. All the food lacked flavor. If you are going to claim "Hibachi" then make sure everything is seasoned as such. You should be ashamed for selling $20 plates of food that is underseasoned and severly overcooked. And, don't get me started on the Sushi. The stench that came out of the box I opened was enough to make me puke. They're putting spoiled or toxic items next to cooked food... the pink ginger smelled and tasted like amonia.

Absolutely worth putting in your mouth 😊 Hibachi express delivers exactly what the name implies; express Hibachi without the flaming onion volcano show. Top quality tasting flavorful hibachi steak cooked perfectly medium rare, chefs kiss. As you can see from the picture, the Dragon Roll looks expertly crafted and tasted as fresh as possible. The seaweed salad and Miso soup were top quality as well. The only thing I can barely negatively critique was the fountain drink selection. Only the basic typical Coke product machine was available. They did have the canned bubble tea and other bottled drinks like water. If the drink machine was one of those super high tech ultra Coke machines then every point would be perfect. However, I believe this place is newer and they are probably still covering operating costs. Doing a great job so far, keep up the great work! I will be back...

Spicy Salmon Roll was terrible, it smelt and tasted like the fish had gone bad. My kids California Roll was packaged with the Spicy Salmon Roll, contaminating it (raw & cooked should not be packaged together). Both rolls had to be trashed. Dynamite Roll was okay, was practically mush inside but I’ve never had cream cheese in a deep fried roll before so that could’ve been the issue. Tokyo Roll was okay.

Every single roll looked as it was missing half the rice. Portions are incredibly small for the price.

Overall I am just disappointed in the lack of care about the bad Salmon & the cross contamination of that with the cooked roll. Uber could not issue any type refund or compensation, but instead suggested I review the restaurant, which is the only reason I am doing this here.
