It was suggested to us to go there about 3 weeks ago. We went and I was disappointed. When we arrived there was confusion who our server was? Yet it took almost 10 minutes to get a couple of glasses of water. Place was only a 1/3 full. Servers came by to ask if our order had been taken and when we said "no", the response was always " I will get your server. " yet no one would take the order until finally after another 10 minutes, a server volunteered. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time yet it was not warm/hot at all. As we were finishing our dinner, and it was close to closing time . About 7:50pm. The server without really asking began to clear the table even leaning over it while our ,party of 4 continued to eat. Needless to say this was rude. When We asked for the bill and was given it, no one told us we had to go to the register to pay. We waited for a few minutes for someone to come get the payment. Finally I went to the register and the manager lady was rude when I mentioned us waiting. She replied that they were nice enough to stay open till 8 for the customers that were there. Rude and no courtesy. If they decide to stay open later, then give your clients good service all the way thru. Won't be going back. Con gusto me quedo lejos de Sabores.
I never said that the server was a man. It was a woman server. Also , as you acknowledged, we were never told that the bill would not come to the table. That was my point exactly. Si la decision es ofrecer servicio hasta las 8pm entonces hagalo con alegria. Gracias por ofrecer que volcanos pero en Tampa hay muchos opciones para la comida Colombiana y servicing...
Read moreSadly to say I am Colombian but I feel ashamed that in this place and very much in every Colombian place the water is charged as if it was gold. It’s unbelievable that a bottle of water that by the way it’s the only way water is served (because maybe a water filter is too expensive) it costs 2 dollars, on a great value bottle that by the pack if is barely 15 cents. Not asking for free food, thank God, there has been always the finances, but water?? How do the rest of the restaurants don’t go broke giving it out for free, how can they make a profit. But in this case Which means that they charge the 1300% let me say this again, one thousand three hundred per cent, something that in all restaurants including other Hispanics as Mexicans or Peruvians, it’s free and unlimited refills. This is outrageous. The cheap Colombian mentality is offensive, bringing to this country where the abundance is the rule, the poor habits of a broken society is very disgusting. I will go back to this place eventually but I want to make my voice heard. Drink a beer instead of water so you will not feel raped. And appreciated owner, read and understand the constructive criticism it’s not against you, neither a personal offense, It’s just a point of view and the main reason why the other nationalities avoid going to a Colombian place (known for a fact) because no one likes to be in a place where saying “free” is the worst insinuation...
Read moreAPPALLING. One star because you can't put 0. The food was inedible. I called to place the order of a bandeja paisa for 4 people. The girl called me back telling me they were out of morcilla what they can add more to the tray, I told her more chicharrónes please. OVERPRICE for what I got inside the tray, hardly any meat AT ALL!!!!! There was NO chicharrónes at all. Not one, full potato, dry hard fried yuca and the tostones the same hard. It was very bad and had very little portions of meats of only chicken, steak and chorizo in it. I called them when we opened the tray at home, and the girl was very rude like I was lying she said bring it back so she can look at it. Not good service nor at all for as much as the tray cost. The food is extremely bland, lacking the typical Colombian flavor. The little pieces of the meats in the bandeja paisa felt like I was chewing gum. A bit disgusted because the chorizo also tasted nasty It tasted like I was eating rubber over cooked. It’s the second time I've gone to this place; I had to give it a second chance, but I won’t go again. ALL PICK UP ORDERS OPEN YOUR TRAYS AND CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE...
