Arr, me hearties, gather round for a tale about Nikki's Omelette, the treasure of the culinary seas! This old pirate's taste buds were in for a wild adventure, filled with flavors that made me want to hoist the Jolly Roger high.
As I docked me ship at Nikki's galley, the aroma of sizzling omelettes wafted through the salty air. The scurvy dogs of hunger gnawed at me belly, so I ordered the "Okey Smokey Omelette" omelette, fit for a seafaring captain like meself. The crew in the galley scurried about, preparing the ingredients like seasoned sailors prepping the ship for a storm.
When the dish was presented, me eyes widened like a pirate spotting a hidden treasure chest. The omelette was a sight to behold, its golden hue reminiscent of the sun setting over calm waters. With every bite, I discovered a bounty of flavors, each one dancing on me tongue like a crew of jolly sailors celebrating a successful plunder.
The eggs, as fluffy as sea foam, were folded over a treasure trove of ingredients. Savory chunks of sausage sailed through me pallet, adding a delightful oceanic twist. The diced bell peppers and onions were like colorful flags fluttering in the wind, bringing a touch of freshness to the dish. And oh, the cheese! It melted like a pirate's heart when he hears a siren's song, binding all the ingredients in a glorious symphony of flavor.
The omelette was served with a side of crispy, golden home fries, akin to nuggets of gold from a sunken galleon. The potatoes were seasoned with herbs and spices that made me taste buds do a jig, reminding me of the exotic spices discovered on faraway islands during me voyages.
Now, me hearties, let's talk about the service. The crew at Nikki's galley were as friendly as fellow pirates, offering a warm welcome and a hearty laugh. The ambiance was cozy. The atmosphere, combined with the delicious fare, made me feel like I had discovered a hidden oasis in the vast ocean of culinary options.
So, me fellow sea lovers, if ye be in search of a breakfast treasure that will satisfy even the most ravenous of appetites, set sail for Nikki's Omelette. It be a treasure worth seekin', a taste bud adventure fit for any old pirate who still yearns for the high seas. Fair winds and a full belly to ye,...
Read moreI'm not sure if they actually use farm fresh eggs here, but my breakfast plate had kinda orange colored chicken egg yolks...like I see whenever I cook fresh eggs laid from my own chickens...extra tasty...if u know, u know. The side of bacon was very nice, big, thick cut slices of bacon too, AND, they were not stingy with it either... they gave me 4 slices! The hashbrowns are pretty much on point as well, ranking right up there with Waffle House browns. Had myself an orange juice to drink, and again, they are generous with the amount. This was a very rare occasion of having a small oj be enough drink with my meal. I wanna give 5 stars on the foods review, I really do, but, I'm pretty petty and quite particular about my eggs being cooked to absolute perfection. I really believe a REALLY good egg cook can really make the difference on a breakfast places success and popularity. While my eggs were great and tasty, I did order them over medium, and they were quite a bit undercooked, with a pretty good amount of clear, runny mess of egg around the egg yolks. I guess I'd describe them as serving them to me over easy rather than how I ordered them, over medium. It wasn't bad enough to send them back, but it absolutely was the only thing keeping this breakfast from being near perfection. I'll go back and try them again the next time the opportunity presents itself,...
Read moreReally disappointing, I ordered the huevos rancheros, my regular breakfast spot was closed this week while the staff took a much deserved vacation so I thought I would give this place a shot. It is almost like they are not even trying to put out a great product, the tortilla was barely cooked and was very oily, the same with the potatoes (Barely cooked). It was covered in what I can only assume was a canned salsa and shredded cheese that wasn't even hot or melted. The eggs looked like they were at least prepared correctly, over medium, they didn't appear to be scorched which is hard to find in most breakfast places these days for some reason. The sign out front mentions that they offer "homemade" meals? apparently I didn't order one of the meals that they consider "homemade". It amazes me that places like this survive in a area that has so many choices. I will not be going back, I only ate maybe a third of what was served to me and I decided to just pay my bill and find someplace else to eat. I gave a two star rating only because the place seemed clean, and the staff was friendly. If you decide to give it a try, I can only suggest that you order something else, for me, it's a hard pass because if you are willing to put that kind of slop out on a plate to a customer you do not deserve...
