Last night was my fourth time going to this shoguns. I order the same thing all the time. I called in my order and my order was a plain order of fried rice.. no vegetables. When I get there my order is done I get ready to pay for it and it's 11.00 something. I'm like something's not right. The cost should have been 4.53. I asked her why was so high and she said I ordered the rice fusion dinner.. no! I did not ..rice fusion did not come out of my mouth. You get a salad and some soup for $11. But that's not what I ordered I know what I ordered. So she says oh you just wanted a side of rice. Now if I would have ordered a half size of rice they would have told me they don't serve their rice like that It doesn't come in pints and quarts. So she charges me the right price. Then she's getting ready to take my food back and dump the rice in another container ..in a smaller container. If I owned the restaurant I wouldn't have taken the rice back and separated it into another little carton not even a container. I thought that was pretty petty. You're at fault Shogun, not me ..I ordered the way I was supposed to order. If you just assumed that I ordered the fusion when I didn't then that's on you. If I own the restaurant and it was my fault I would have given the customer what she wanted. Because I know customer satisfaction. I know customer appreciation. I don't think you would have done a white person like this. I told you I didn't want the salad or the soup and the manager says well this is free how is it free when you're charging me a extra $7 for something that I didn't even order. Then when they brought the rice back she says oh we didn't have any containers so I had to put it in the styrofoam container that looks like a burger should be long in it. So I asked her what are you going to do with the other half of the rice the salad and the soup and she says the employees were probably eat it. I will never go back to this restaurant again because every time I go I have a problem. The last time I ordered from here I had a rude Caucasian blonde lady wait on me she had a bad attitude. You don't have to worry because I...
Read moreAnother great hit from your favorite sushi connoisseur! 😂 Went with my family to Shogun so we were all first timers here; I went out on a limb based on the variety of reviews and decided to give this place a shot. NO regrets!!! 😍
I was sooo surprised by how great the sashimi was here, chef's were on point! I started off with the Treasure Island appetizer, which is various diced raw sashimi pieces in a light sauce, topped with masago and borderlined with avocado. First bite of the fish had me shook. Super soft and buttery, pairs well with the avocado. Very tasty!
When I tried the Love Boat for 2, the moment of truth came when I tried a piece of the salmon sashimi and the tuna. WOW. I haven't had any fresher fish served to me before this, and that's saying a lot considering how much sushi I've had. The sashimi was so soft it melted in my mouth, with a buttery finish. No fishy taste whatsoever. My family was also very impressed, I think I blinked twice and it was all gone. This is the type of real sashimi I've been looking for, where a chef takes pride in what they serve, and where you go home dreaming of having more the following day.
Great portions for reasonable menu prices, and the options offered are not too bad at all, good variety. The onlyyy reason it just missed 5 stars was mainly from the fried soft shell crab that did not taste well, and our server, which she might've been fairly new. So needing some things took a while to ask, and some knowledge on the menu items were confusing. Besides that, I'm definitely coming back to try more menu items! Crossing fingers and toes that this place...
Read moreHorrible experience all around. The dirty, out of order fountain at entrance looks nice, but I suspect it is harboring mildew. Could be nice if it was in working order. The waitress was immediately disinterested and impatient when she took our drink order. Some people prefer water, nothing to get huffy and eye-rolling over. My daughter and I ordered sushi roll lunch specials, hers with miso soup and mine with salad. When the soup and salad arrived we thought someone was cleaning because it suddenly smelled very strongly of chlorine. The smell was coming from the soup. The soup with minimal miso and basically no tofu minus one or two 3mm x 3mm cubes. They must make a block of tofu last all month. The soup tasted like it smelled; toxic, inedible. We set the soup and salad aside (assuming the lettuce isn’t washed if the soup smelled like that). We had held out hope that the sushi would be decent. Unfortunately the sushi disappointed with old, under-seasoned rice, old wasabi with no potency (no heat, no flavor), fake kewpie Mayo (like sugar water Mayo) and poor quality fish and “krab” stick. We left lots on our plates and not because of the portions. I really wish we would have walked out when we smelled the miso soup. I’ve had better sushi at the take out hibachi spots. I went here many years ago and it was nothing like this. Sad to see it’s gone so...
