Ordered a vegan burger and fries with cheese and onion, all of the food was devoid of flavor other than the flavor of the disgusting sauce they drench everything in. It tasted like someone in the next room was eating a loaf of white bread covered in dirty sponge juice.
Hands down the worst vegan patty I've ever tried, somehow even the garbage Boca makes and sells in grocery store freezers is better than this. The vegan burgers here come nowhere near approaching what a burger should taste like.
I had hoped this would be an acceptable alternative to wizard burger, which I order from regularly, but compared to wizard burger this place seems like it's trying to be bad on purpose. This place makes the burger king on central seem like a gourmand's paradise.
This place serves the worst vegan anything in Albany, full stop. No reason to eat this bland garbage when Wizard Burger, Subculture, Tapas, Burrito Burrito, a handful of Thai places, and somehow even a poke bar and a food co-op serve better vegan food. There is better vegan food in the mall FFS.
Owner is rude af and openly hostile to any criticism, going as far as to track people down on social media to hurl ad hominem attacks at. One look at his responses to negative reviews is all one needs to see, stay away, dude is cray cray.
I've never been to an in and out, but if this place replicates their food faithfully, I don't know how in and...
Read moreI’m incredibly disappointed with the customer service at this restaurant. After receiving an order that wasn’t up to par, I initially spoke with the manager, who reluctantly agreed to remake my meal. However, the manager made the process more difficult than it needed to be, and I was left feeling frustrated by the lack of urgency in resolving the issue.
After this, I asked for the owner’s name and the best way to contact them directly, as I wanted to express my dissatisfaction with how things were handled. Unfortunately, the manager wouldn’t provide this information and seemed unwilling to help further. I didn’t ask for personal contact details—just a way to reach out to the owner, but even this was met with resistance.
I was shocked when I later saw the owner’s response to my review, which seemed to completely overlook my side of the story and dismissed my concerns as aggressive. I’m disappointed that instead of addressing my feedback directly, I was met with defensiveness rather than an attempt to understand the full situation.
Customer service should be about resolving issues and making customers feel valued. Unfortunately, this experience showed a lack of both accountability and customer care. I will not be returning and would caution anyone considering...

Strolling northbound on Lark St an inviting aroma lingered from a corner restaurant: the sincere smell of seared beef; an often familiar smell on warm summer days. I headed into Herbie's Burgers to be greeted by a retro vibe of wall posters and seating.
Recognizing that it was a smash burger establishment I ordered the double cheeseburger, a customary practice. The double cheeseburger comes with the works: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and Herbie sauce- but I felt the need to experience the flavors of the patties, since they were locally sourced and grass-fed so I forwent the L and T, though I did want the acidity of the P and the enthusiast in me supports O as a part of the "quintessential cheese burger."
I was floored by the flavor!! Initially I just wanted to try a bite and enjoy the rest at home, but I just had to have another bite- and another- and then eventually just finished the whole scrumptious burger.
Brilliant flavor, with a seasoned sear from the griddle, perfectly melted cheese, and the P and O were appropriate accoutrements as opposed to commanding a presence in the burger. The soft bun was not bready nor imposing either. A wonderful burger joint that I will be...
