Read moreI mean the food is very fresh...and sum of the dishes are good. to my surprise I was disappointed in generalI don't particularly like sum of the dishes...especially the hummus its got to much lemon in it and the texture is a little off...also I didn't like the Rice the way they spiced it . another thing the Tahini sauce is to watery and not flavored right it basically has no flavor....and the baklava that I got was horrible. if you ever go to a real authentic Israeli restaurant they put this mamouns food to shame. the reason I gave this place a try is cause of their name i thought it was like the mamouns in the village in NYC. but there is no comparison between them the one in the city is superrrrr...
Read moreI have been craving falafel from the city since I moved to Albany. I gotta say, Mamouns is hands down the best falafel I’ve had in my life. You can taste the freshness in the ingredients - the herbs in my falafel were so bright & delicious. The chicken was seasoned just right & tzatziki was on point. Couldn’t resist the home made baklava & halva on the counter so we brought some home and we’re not disappointed. The baklava was perfectly flaky & filled with delicious roasted spiced nuts. The halva literally melts in your mouth. The food is amazing, will definitely recommend to friends. The owner seemed genuine and kind & the inside of the restaurant is beautiful. You will not be disappointed...
