Ship's Pub — Restaurant in City of Albany

Since I ate here never had a bad experience. The drinks are always good the waitress was amazing. Today my son graduated so my family came up from different states I bragged about this place and turned down other suggested places to go knowing how great the food has been. Unfortunately, they must have had a different chef. I was so embarrassed no one enjoyed anything they had and we took a lot of good home that will most likely be thrown away. I ordered a long Island iced tea which was amazing like always shout out to the bartender for that one. However, no one enjoyed their clams that I bragged so much about telling them they will never taste any as good. A lot of mines were empty so I sent it back not gunna spend $15 for shells and garlic juice. The wings were not really good like usual. The sweet potato fries were great. I did ask to speak to a manager and there wasn't one there which was a lil disappointing. I was so unhappy with my experience there today. However, the waiter Devon was so sweet attentative and patient. This place is a lot of ppls fav so I'll try it again just not early in the day anymore I need the same chef from the first 2 times I went. Never till now, worse experience, of customer service. Took over 20 mins to get our order placed. Then another 45 mins to get our food. Needed to return to work, ask the waitress to bring the check, and to box the food which did not arrive yet. The 1 meal was the surf n turf salad, the waitress, stated because the meat was order well done and I should pre order ahead. , is the reason for long wait. I explained I always order the same salad, and have my order in 20 mins and come on a Friday at 1pm. Never pre order. check came the fastest from anything to this visit. When the food finally arrived, we expressed are dissatifaction ,and wanted to compensation.Didnt offer anything but excuses again. Ask yo speak to manager, took sometime till he came. Manager offered excuses, there were alot of catering orders that day. I again told him what I stated to waitress (above), had to ask to being compensated for poor service, never offered. Manager said he would see, what he could do.He came back with check, walked away. HE TOOK $2.70 OFF THE CHECK !!! We left the Food, and left. While this was all going on 2 customers sitting across from us, were in disbelief! Agreed with us, .They were still waiting for...

I’m 24 years old my name is JEWEL . I’ve been coming here for 3 years now …..,I just got off work & didn’t have all my belongings on me . she turned me away due to me “looking young” didn’t ID anybody in the bar until I came in & sat down !! . I told her to ask for Conor so he can vouch for me Since that’s a person I know here , she continues to say he doesn’t “ID” anyone bashed him which was very odd & says I shouldn’t be looking under 15….& it’s spring break. I’m confused I have my whole work outfit on … straight out of work . 15? Very disrespectful !!! If you’re going to ID me , ID everyone !! . How am I not suppose to think this wasn’t intentional? How would I know a bartenders name if Im not a consistent customer here ?? She stated she’s been here for 6 years ..
