Southside Deli — Restaurant in City of Batavia

I have reviewed delis in a few states. I come from downstate NY . So my influences are probably some of the best delis in the country. This Little gem in Western New York is a beacon of light for a guy who loves great delis. The bakery case was full of all your traditional sides such as antipasto, potato salad, and other staple NY deli items. Excellent assortment of cakes and cannolis, and every item you would be craving for a true NY deli. Great bread, generous portions of quality meats and cheeses. Just a really great experience. I was skeptical the first time I went to get subs, but they are really good. Lots of flavor, and they freshly prepare it in front of you. My subs can be a bit more expensive because I add on artichokes and a bunch of peppers. Make sure to check out their dessert section....the brown cow cheesecake is to die for. Their cannolis are also amazing. They have a small grocery type convenience store section. Parking is in the back.

This is a great Deli and the subs are worth it. Egg Rolls are GREAT. A lot of deserts here that are good. Some things are a bit overpriced but that's to be expected, nothing compared to 7-11 for example. Most of the staff are very friendly. I occasionally get a slightly rude or condescending demeanor woman to cash me out, but it's never even really a big deal. Owner is a nice guy.
