TODAY WAS A SHOCKER! For more than 2 years I have eaten at Manni's mainly for breakfast. A favorite was the Southside Slammer which included pancakes. From day 1 I asked for the pancakes to be well and sometimes very well done. If I did not do that they get served with no color and typically under cooked. Probably around a dozen times over two years I had to send back pancakes to be put back on the grill to add color and be cooked through and through. Today was one of those days. When the cook, owners son, brought out the recooked pancakes he asked if they were okay. I said yes. I then asked him why when he cooks the pancakes initially they are not left on the skillet long enough to add color and cook all the way through. He took this as an insult I think. His response was "I do not want to burn them." As he walked away he said "if you do not like them don't come back here." REALLY! That is how you treat a customer who has faithfully patronized your business for more than 2 years. NOT HAPPENING! RUDENESS and food service do not mix. I will go somewhere else and make sure everyone I know and meet in Binghamton understands how Manni's treats people when they order something specific [in this case...
Read moreI've only been there twice, first time was great, a little awkward if you're not a regular, second time was enough for me. My friend and I walked in and went straight to the counter where there was no one waiting in line, or so I thought however a complete stranger ( woman) jumped up and almost knocked me down and a very loud rude voice proceeded to inform us she'd been waiting in line and she was next. The woman behind the counter never raised to our defense, she just proceeded to take the obnoxious woman's order never once making eye contact with me. I've heard good things about this place which made me try it but I will never go back. Just because I wasn't a regular allowed this type of behavior to go unnoticed ? Not in my book of how to treat people. I gave you 5 stars because those doughnuts I got the first time were delicious and I'm not a spiteful person. Oh and that book I referred to earlier, it's called THE NEW TESTAMENT. good book, no correction it's...
Read moreRead reviews, thought misspelling Donut was cute. Stopped in on Sunday, ordered a few breakfast sandwiches, sides, and coffee to go. Requested crisp bacon and dry eggs with extra cheese on all (heard waitress fire to kitchen) to keep everyone home happy as I was traveling back to Endicott as I do every Sunday morning. Sides were good. Appeared they split one egg among all sandwiches and one piece of bacon per and no extra cheese (paid)on burned bagels. FYI, Sysco eggs run about $.10 cents each, lay flat bacon is $.22 cents per slice so it was sad to open them up and see 1/2 egg maybe (was dry) and bacon that could been used as a worm for fishing it was so undercooked. I did not have a Doughnut so I hope they rock those, skip the sandwiches. Next time I will just go to the Bagel place nearby. Wasted time, effort, and money. May want to tighten up the line person, or not. Sorry but F&B is not...
