0 stars. Terrible service and terrible employees. They make the drive thru lane wait up to 10min. People will pile up to 10 or more waiting in line with no one at the windows. They then proceed to be rude to every customer like it's such an annoyance they have to serve so many at once when THEY make everyone wait. They then try to rush everyone out just to make another wave wait at the drive thru again. You'll pay for stuff you ordered and then when you get to the serving window they try to say oh well this isn't working or that's down. They will then give you attitude if they have to take time to refund your purchase or they will straight up lie or not tell you and just give you stuff with items missing or made wrong which as far as I'm concerned is stealing money from paying customers you did not provide what they purchased. I got 2 small mocha fraps, one with an espresso shot. That shot alone cost an entire extra dollar. As I pull up to the serving window the manger turns the machine onto self clean mode and tells me oh well we cant give the espresso shot cause its cleaning. She knew damn well what my order had and did it on purpose to steal a dollar from me. I told her I wanted the dollar back and she said well if you wait 18min I can give the drink with a shot. I pulled up to wait and she sent out an employee only 5min later. When i asked if there was espresso shot in one of my drinks the employee hesitated and said i dont think so she just had me make 2 and bring them. Literally lied to me to try and take 1 dollar from me cause she didnt want to refund it. Seriously disgusting behavior. Another time i ordered the same thing and had it delivered. They tape the bags so the drivers cant see what's in the bag and when it was delivered instead of the almost 5 dollars worth of frappes I ordered they gave us 2 sprites worth a value of 2 dollars. Not equivalent at all. Upon calling the store to complain they responded with "well the machine was down" as if they thought it was appropriate to give me lesser values items because the machine was broken. They are a bunch of liars and stuck up thieves. They literally think they can get away with whatever they want. When I told them I wanted a full refund because they didnt call me and that the machine being down is no excuse to steal money from me they hung up on me and then UNPLUGGED the phone so no one could call. I will never order from or go there again. The workers are selfish, they are rude, they are entitled and deffinantly dont deserve a job any better than working at a pathetic fast food joint. I sincerely hope they never move up in the world. All they would do is cheat people for money and make excuses why they think it's ok. I have brought more than these 2 cases to corporate who issued full refunds to many of my orders for the same behavior. I apologize to this chain for having to have such incompetent and arrogant workers that they have to lose out on money so often. These workers are nothing but bad reputation for the company and its patrons and they dont care they think it's funny probably. Takes some seriously low hearted people to ruin someone else name to benefit themselves for being failures at life itself. This chain has been around many years and is loved and visited by many people and to have it slandered by such low standard persons is a real shame. If you see mcdonalds on the resume dont call the manager, call the customers. If you work there and do a good job and respect people, ask for a customer as a reference to back you up because the other workers and the managers are liars and shouldnt be trusted if they act the way they do...
Read moreI’m fairly certain I worked at this McDonald’s back in 1996-97. I only lived in the area for about a year, but it was my first job—and I learned a lot.
First, teenagers and adults (especially those in their 30s and older who have clearly checked out on life) should not share the same work environment. It creates unnecessary tension and drama.
Second, that job taught me I am absolutely not built for manual labor.
There was a manager whose wife, while pregnant, was regularly scheduled to work my shifts—presumably thinking it would be an easier load for her. But no, she worked just like the rest of us.
Eventually, I was fired after getting into a fight with a recently released ex-con who took his job way too seriously.
There was one other Black guy who worked with me briefly. He was Employee of the Month in his first month, and by the second, he was fired and arrested for stealing from the register. Unfortunately, he was battling addiction—something that seemed to be a common theme in that town. Honestly, it felt like one big Narcotics Anonymous meeting.
And shout out to the supervisor who thought he was punishing me by assigning me to unload the delivery truck. Little did he know, that just meant free nuggets and fries for the neighborhood.
Funny enough, we moved to a nearby town and I worked at a McDonald's that was ran by the same General Manager who fired me. Who was there seasoning fries on my first day? AHHH man not so good times but I...
Read moreNot a Karen, I've worked retail. Hate that attitude But, This is by far one of the worst franchises of McDonald's I've ever experienced.
You order curb side via the app. It could be 3pm and the drive thru could be empty for 20 minutes and still. You'll end up getting out of your car, going inside to collect your cold burger and fries that has been sitting out from the moment you ordered.
I truly belive in a decent minimum wage. I truly believe that this industry that gives us a service that so many of us use every day. Deserves our praise.
But....
This is truly an awful location.
I'm so so tried of using the app and waiting 25 minutes for a cheeseburger.
I'm tired of going in, in person to not even hear a we will be right with you after a few minutes. Only to have someone definitely over it take my order.
Drive thru forget fries and burgers time and time again.
Once again.
I don't want to be that person. But, myself and many of my friends now actively avoid this location. Dive the extra 15 minutes to vestal. Because even that extra 30 minutes of driving back and forth is somehow still faster and better yeah dealing with what ever is happening here.
Something definitely needs to change.
I get it is just a burger. We want to support this local franchise.
I have either waited over 20 minutes for a cold burger consistently or have been robbed of a couple of dollars worth of food.
Until this change.
