I would not recommend going to this place. I wanted to give this place a try since it was close to my home. As soon as I entered, the owner with greasy long hair gave me a dirty look because I was alone. He said “If I give you this table, I can’t accept any more customers! This table is for four people!” I pointed at all other empty tables that were vacant. He said “Those tables are not available!” Then, he ended up giving me the table since there were no other customers waiting there. After I ordered pho with egg rolls, he informed me that there were no bean sprouts and basil leaves for my pho! Then, he had audacity to charge me additional $1 for my pho. The menu said it was $12.95. He charged me $13.95 without letting me know in advance. I felt disgusted by his dishonesty and his audacity to charge me extra when he didn’t even have all the ingredients the pho was supposed to have! When I asked for receipt, he said “we don’t have receipts here. If you want a receipt, just take a picture! By law, the business is obligated to provide the receipt for business transactions when requested! I will NEVER go back to this restaurant and won’t recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Vietnamese food! The owner is a...
Read moreI have been going to this restaurant for four years now. Sadly, I will not be going again. I have loved the food but lately it has been on the decline. The prices have increased steadily, which I understand, but now is completely out of my price range. I am a college student like many others in the area and can no longer afford the food, especially since the quality has decreased. Additionally, the service is horrendous. The older male server harshly greets customers and argues with them. He makes comments when I pay for my friends, calling me a sugar momma, or jokes about partying which is highly inappropriate. He makes comments on how we eat our food. He denies service to many customers, including myself on multiple occasions. I did not do anything to deserve that. For a brief period of time he did not work here and I could relax and enjoy my meal. Now the sense of dread of interacting with him has outweighed the food. Additionally, the restaurant calculates tip after the 8% sales tax and 3% credit card fee. This means that I wanted to pay a 15% tip and unknowingly paid a 17% tip. At another restaurant, I may not have minded (usually I tip 20%). But the service here did not demand...
Read moreFood is phenomenal and almost worth the horrendous attitude of the male waiter. The female waiter is exceptional and kind. Explaining what chopsticks are to someone who's used them for almost two decades and asking if I know what cilantro and onions are. Walking away from a customer giving you their order. I've gone at least 3 times and dealt with the attitude because the food is that good, but the 4th time I simply walked out. Will not be coming back.
Editing to respond to Pho Nhu Y: Thank you for taking the time to respond and address the issue in a kind way. I'm sorry to hear about your father's deafness- he's told me as much. I don't mind repeating myself as much as necessary, writing it down, or even pointing on the menu. I do mind him walking away during face to face communication and treating me as though I'm ignorant to the food I'm buying (although I acknowledge that some of your customer base may be unfamiliar, all information needed is in the menu and people can ask questions if needed). I would love to continue coming, but my being in on weekdays is a rare fluke. I wish you best of luck with your family...
