My boyfriend and I live out of state and wanted to have a nice dinner somewhere, so we looked up a few places around the pier and this was one of the options. We saw the nice outside area and thought “okay, let’s go there!”. Went to find the entrance - no signs ANYWHERE indicating where to enter. We found one door, it led to two others. We took the door on the right and quickly realized that it wasn’t the correct door to enter as it led upstairs where no business was, so we turned around and went back down the stairs to go in the other door to look for a hostess. On our way back down a waitress came in the staircase, as we were making our way back down, she very abruptly and rudely asked “What’re you doing over here?”. I explained that we had gotten lost trying to find the main entrance to the dining area as we weren’t familiar with the establishment and we were on our way back to the first set of doors. With a less than enthusiastic attitude she responded, “Yeah, it’s over there.” - Pointing in no specific direction or giving any further description as to where to go. So, we eventually got to the hostess and she said to sit wherever we’d like. We sat outside and our waitress came up to us, after about 10 minutes of waiting to be addressed, explained it is her second day and sorry for any of the inconvenience. We forgave her as we understood as the job is new to her - she took our entire order, drinks and food, and went on her way. Waited about 15 minutes for our drinks to show up. After that, our food showed up about 5 minutes right after. Our salads were not coursed before our food, it actually came out after the entrees! Customer service here is a 0/10 - would NOT recommend to anyone looking for a nice night out with polite and adequate service. Went next door instead to 64 on the pier, good food and less of a hassle after this experience. Food was sub-par at best, not...
Read moreIt actually hurts me to write this but this was quite the experience. We ordered two open chicken soulvakis and 2 cheeseburgers for lunch on a Wednesday. The girl who answered the phone was just rude. Short. Didn't really know any of the answers to the couple of questions I had.
Picked up the food... It was $57.00. I figured ok. No prob. I asked for extra tzatziki and extra pita with the soulvakis and was told that I couldn't sub a side salad for one of the burgers, that it was an up charge. Ok no prob.
Pick up food. Everything is iced cold. Burgers were ordered medium well. They were so over cooked they resembled hockey pucks. No seasoning on them what so ever. One was supposed to have a salad and no bun. There was a bun and french fries. No salad to be found.
Soulvakis had none of the extras and one was specifically ordered with no onions due to an allergy. Of course there were not only large onions but smaller diced red onions also mixed in to the salad.
Called to try to rectify the situation. First time I called was left on hold for 15+ minutes. Second time whoever answered the phone explained that "I just missed the manager" but could she help. Explained the sitch, she then passed the phone to the girl who took the order who legit said, "what am I supposed to do about this" (which she kinda was right) she asked if I wanted a new salad which after 30+ minutes now after getting back with food no forget it. Won't go back. Too bad Mr. Manning needs a manager apparently. Also side note: I was glad to see that they were moderately busy but we ordered food well after 1 p.m so I can't make any more excuses. Terrible experience and quality since Jamie left/sold the place. So...
Read moreWhile I've been here repeatedly, today was not a good experience. It took 15 minutes for them to make us a table for 6. Another 15 before drinks were ordered and a long time for the coffees, juice, and water to come. After 40 minutes we ordered our food. We watched a few other tables who arrived after us order food before we got the chance. We had no refills on drinks without flagging down the waitress. Even adding another water or 3rd table took a reminder 10 mm minutes later. Food came out after an hour and a half, but they forgot one meal, another was too cold to eat and got replaced, others dealt with the temperature. The waitress never came back to check on how the food was, maybe because we were starting to discuss at our table how hungry we were getting. To be clear, the restaurant was maybe 50% full and closer to 30% if you counted the outside seating. We ended up switching to different waitresses for coffee refills and service. Our main server never returned after the food and one we knew took over. We did get compensated (free-30%) off and since tips would have gone to the one who couldn't handle our drinks in a timely manner, I believe very limited tips were shared. My omelet was delicious, but it did not compensate for drink and food orders taking so long (to be collected) or the limited communication. Pretty sure the waitress hid from us, especially after she got upset with the returned meal and the slow final meal 2hrs). Some of my group had to pack up their food at the start to return home after 2hrs of being there. I'll be checking if the 2nd younger staff is working before I go again. Good food didn't trump poor table service...
