JC's Cafe — Restaurant in City of Hornell

The "young" waitresses need to learn how to properly waitress and SMILE ..... Shorts are or at least "SHOULD" be longer then the apron that the waitress is wearing... I was a waitress for 22 years and it's definitely a tough job but it's also the customers who give them a job and they need to learn and appreciate the customers.... The atmosphere was very "TENSE".... The dishwasher (Bully) was VERY RUDE to the cook and YELLED at her "NO, HE WAS NOT GONNA CLEAN UP THE OIL ON THE FLOOR IN FRONT OF THE HOT FRYERS!!!" ....After the cook asked him VERY nicely if he would clean it up so that she would not slip and fall!!!... I suggested to put salt on top of the oil so that it was not so slippery because it is a safety hazard and she could have slipped in her arm could have went into the hot fryer.. after I suggested for her to put salt on to the oil due to it being a safety issue, that is when the "BULLY" came out and cleaned up the oil...(Thankfully) We brought our parents here out of town tonight for dinner for the first time and we will not be returning we were very very embarrassed of the SERVICE...THE BULLY DISHWASHER.... RUDE/TENSE WAITRESS AND COOK ALL NEED TO BE RETRAINED AND TAUGHT TO HAVE RESPECT FOR THE CUSTOMERS WHO ARE ACTUALLY EMPLOYING THEM... Maybe some "older" waitresses isn't...

I have gone there several times waiting for them to win me over. Never happened. Tonight was the last time I will ever go. Takes forever for your food. They forget about you if you sit in side seating area. Touch your food with bare hands. Never have your check available so they over charge and charge for things I didnt even order. To busy talking and hanging out to even follow up for drink refills. Expect a tip when paying at register. I got a tip. CLOSE DOWN and let someone open up a restaurant people want to go to. Past their prime. Very disappointed I tried several times but never got won over. Do not recommend dont waste your time or money. Very out dated and lost touch with reality. Would have been something to go to in the 60's but not now. Always the same three customers in there no matter what time of day I went. Not worth even if it was free for life. I would...

1st time trying this place out Asked for Turkey bacon egg and cheese, lettuce, tomato, salt pepper Ketchup 🤷🏽‍♀️ I received my sandwich and got regular pork bacon. I explained I wanted turnkey bacon. They misunderstood my order. Gave me the sandwich and said they where doin Turkey on the side I was lost . They didn’t have turkey bacon so I got Regular turkey Lunch meat with lettuce tomato egg and cheese, With a Boston cream pie no bag no spoons no napkins overall the sandwich was OK two slices of turkey lunchmeat. I’ll shall give them another chance...
