This place is WAAAAY overpriced. It cost me $18.04 for a "regular" burger, fries and a drink (not the "little" versions)....basically a #1 at In-n-Out where it is literally half the price...or less. This place is packed though so I guess everyone is making money these days.
The burgers aren't even THAT good. Always overcooked, as apparently everyone (except In-n-Out who leaves a little pink) cooks their burgers well done instead of learning, or taking the time, to cook a burger right. If you like your burgers well done and devoid of flavor then I guess you're fine.
The only reason I gave it 2 stars is that their burgers aren't absolutely terrible (and you get many "free" toppings to add) but the extra star is there cause the cajun fries are genuinely good. That's the only thing I was actually craving when I came in.
Also. I asked if they had a military discount and they don't. Fine, they don't have to. But then I asked if they had a senior discount (just curious). The cashier didn't know but the cook chimed in, "They do if you're over 90"! (my exclamation point) And THEN he said they're gonna change it to over 100!! Was that some kind of lame joke?
Other stuff still... It got busy but was slow when I came in. When I sat down 4 out of the 5 available tables were dirty and the floor looked like it hadn't been swept in quite a while.
Oh, they don't even give you a tray for your $18 meal, just a bag and an opportunity to make a giant mess for the next guy....that they apparently won't clean up. In fact, when I left, a couple needed the table and I helped them wipe it down as there was no one working the floor.
And lastly, both Diet Coke and Caffeine-free Diet Cokes ran out when I was there. I told the guy putting the orders together and he said, "thanks,".....but no one ever changed them.
Bottom line is, when you charge $18 dollars for a regular sized meal, your stuff better be perfect, and it wasn't.....hardly.
All the things I mentioned are almost never a factor at In-n-Out. In the future I MIGHT just grab some cajun fries here and get everything else....anywhere else. Heck, for 18 bucks I can get that giant, brisket, pulled pork, burger-thing at Chili's (that's great when THEY cook it right....see my other reviews about overcooked burgers there) and I get good service and can kick it in the bar and watch T.V. All that for about the same as the $18 experience that Five Guys...
Read moreWas really excited to come eat here with the family today 6/9. Nowhere is there a sign stating that they do not accept a bill larger than $20. After my order was taken I handed a $100 bill to the cashier and she takes it to the manager at the time & he comes close to the register and says "we cannot accept anything larger than a $20 bill" (no customer service skills at all at least say "I apologize" or "I'm sorry" I proceed to say "even if my order is $78.28, my change will only be under $12 dollars" (he's nodding with the rudest most sarcastic look to his face and with a condescending tone he says "yeah"). So I said "cancel my order" since I only had large bills didn't have more than $35 in small bills. They were there with the most dumbfounded look, what else was expected?? They didn't accept my monies, which I felt as I was discriminated. If they indeed truly don't accept bills larger than $20 why didn't the young lady who took my order say this??? She went and asked the manager "in charge" and HE decided to deny my bill for whatever reason. I would be understanding if my order was only $20 and would have the register low in smaller bills but this wasn't the case! I'm truly upset and bothered. You may have denied my bill but you ended up losing an extra $78.28 in sales today. The In & Out near by gladly accepted my bill, in case you assumed my bill was counterfeit IT WASN'T! NEVER returning to this location EVER! Rude and discriminating manager here. Also didn't appreciate the talking about me as I walked out! That is what made me really want to write this review, I didn't make a scene nor was rude! No reason to comment and say anything. It was plain and simple you didn't accept my money so I cancelled my order. What other thing would you expect when you tell me you cannot accept a large bill??? If you truly DO NOT accept bills larger than a $20 you should...
Read moreThis was my boyfriend's 1st time coming here, & buying their food to-go. I often used to eat at their Norco location, 6 yrs ago. That was my last time there, since I ended up moving. We passed this FIVE GUYS up sooo many times, only because we were focused on going to the mall & other local stores. Often told ea other, "We need to stop at FIVE GUYS someday. Gotta wait til it's not so crowded over there. We'll try it out soon. Don't forget". Hehe. FINALLY, we found time to stop & grab something to eat. We enjoyed the cheeseburgers fixed "All the Way"; added spicy Cajun Fries; a Banana Shake... mmmm. DELICIOUS & FILLING!!! Just like I remembered. In Norco, my fam & I used to get a cup of peanuts, sometimes in a bag too, eat 'em & throw the shells on the floor. Customers did that. It was the thing to do, until it was deemed unsanitary yrs later. Cool, so we stopped that. Well, those fun days are gone! Too many germs out there, esp w/ Covid now. However, you can still enjoy large delicious, juicy cheeseburgers, w/ fresh potato fries, and thick fruity shakes. I was surprised when their Banana/Vanilla shakes tasted so yummy. They're thick, you have to drink & chew the pulp at the same time. Very fresh & tasty! Can't wait to come back, & try the sandwiches next time. Definitely worth the price, & the great, friendly service that comes with it. Staff welcomes you w/ a smile. Not easy to come by these...
