Scripts Cafe — Restaurant in City of Lockport

I used to love Scripts and their food but unfortunately my experience today ruined my view of them. I called and ordered a wrap upon leaving my house which is 10 minutes from Scripts. The worker who answered the phone took my order and said it would be about 15 minutes until my food was ready. So I drove the 10 minutes there then was shocked to find the door locked. I then looked up what time they closed and online it said 4pm. When I ordered it was 3:35 and by the time I got to Scripts it was 3:45! They were still supposed to be open for another 15 minutes. My problem is why would a worker take my order and tell me it would be about 15 minutes when they were closed within 10 minutes of me making that phone call. To make matters worse the workers just stared at me when I was at the door clearly confused. The food is FANTASTIC and the service is great too. The menu is really flexible for people with vegetarian dietary restrictions. Also, their salads don't have any iceberg lettuce in them. This may seem like an odd point to get caught up on but as a person who is very frequently offered salads let me tell you it makes a huge difference. Their greens weren't wilty either, as you sometimes get at restaurants that don't care about quality. Honestly, the worst thing about this cafe is it's total lack of outlets. If you're thinking about doing any work on your laptop or need to charge your phone, this will not be the pace that can help you. They do offer free WiFi but I find it's pretty congested and slow (scripts is deservedly usually pretty busy). Overall though, I'd recommend this...

This place is rarely open, even during their posted hours. It’s super frustrating. Even more frustrating than the terrible customer service. Don’t be surprised when you have to wait several minutes for the employees to finish their personal conversations before they even acknowledge you’ve walked through the door.

Edited to add: Although the owner claims they are rarely closed, I went there today, Monday, around lunchtime after double checking the hours to be sure they were open, only to find it closed with no explanation. This has happened several times before. I guess I’ll just take the extra time to drive to Squeeze from now on and save myself the frustration.
