Brother Bruno's Pizzeria Middletown — Restaurant in City of Middletown

Was there yesterday and they guy behind the counter was non-welcoming and rude in a very passive aggressive way. He took at least 5 minutes, saw me standing right in front of him and didn't give a crap about my having to wait, (which I don't mind if I see that you're busy). He didn't have the courtesy to say, "I'll be right with you miss, madame" etc. I overlooked that and waited patiently, never said anything to him out of turn and when he was finally ready to take my order, (I suppose he was waiting for me to go away and I guess perhaps I should have), instead of him addressing me with the common decency and respect you normally would to an older lady, he brashly stated; "what can I get for you?"

After my order was finally ready, I waited patiently while he took another 10 minutes to fill other orders, he didn't have the courtesy to tell the girl behind the counter that a "lady" was waiting for her order, he got a little tongue-tied in what he wanted to call me it seems anyway.

Thankfully, the young girl behind the counter was very nice in giving me my order. Needless to say I will never go back there again. I work in Sales myself and I'm always cognizant on how people behave. If I had treated any of my clients the way this person treated me, I never would have sold anything....Anyone can have a bad day and I get it, but basic courtesy and respect is something that is lacking in this society overall and it really does go a long way...... A lot of people don't understand that just because they have a successful business now, it doesn't have to stay that way...

I have been coming decades to this perfect pizza palace! This BROTHER BRUNO'S is the best of all...all the different menu offerings are fresh and like homemade. The family and staff there are the most warm and welcoming folks you can ever find. I love the parents...i even call them Dad and Mom from knowing them so long. I love everyone there from Italo who knows how to manage things firmly...to his sister Antonella who redesigned the entire place...to Marlon n Luke...n Billy Barnstormer as I nicknamed him to Tommy and a new Chef.. and others. I always enjoy seeing each of them...and feel they truly care. Today I tried their SEAFOOD MINGLE..with large shrimp...clams..mussels...calamari...it was like eating at City Island seafood restaurants! They even surprised me with a free mini stromboli...which i think would be a top hit if placed as a feature on their regular menu...that was so nice...and made me feel extra special as a longtime appreciated customer. At holidays...the decorations are really magnificent. Best of all they are extremely clean...and have BEER!!! DRAFT BEER TOO! Nothing can beat the taste of pizza n beer....just ask the leprechauns on Saint Pat's day. BEER IS GRAND! A POOHBEAR KNOWS TOO....THAT 99.9 % CAN BE HAPPY WITH EVERY ASPECT OF THIS BROTHER BRUNO...FROM DECORE TO FOOD TO GIANT TV..BEER AND STAFF..PLUS EASY PARKING ...AND A GREAT SPOT...BY THE SUPERMARKET...DOLLARSTORES...MOVIES ACROSS THE STREET ...AND MORE. TRUST ME YOU WILL GO BACK AGAIN N AGAIN. THE EXPERIENCE IS BETTER THAN ANY MORE WORDS CAN...

When we visit my parents in Middletown we picked up pizza few times from Bruno's. While ordering or waiting for the order, we, my husband and I , always noticed that there is no customer service really, no smile, no thank you or hello :( we didn't react much since it was always busy and messy at the order/pick up area, so we paid a left -3 times we visited in past 8 months. Today, I had to place an order for my parents, both are sick with bronchitis and 80 and 86 years old. I payed over the phone and provided the delivery addresses. The guy charged me for delivery too, 1 and half hour later my parents still didn't have their pizza and when I called the place , guy screamed at me that it's too far and they don't want to deal with that and so on ... I was speechless, they had my phone and my cr. card and address and no one called me to say that sorry we don't deliver! They waited an hour and a half till I call ( I live an hour away from my parents house) thought they already had dinner only to find out that they still didn't deliver ! We are still waiting for an order but I was very upset by screaming guy from pizzeria and as miserable he is , I PAID for delivery after I clearly spelled my address! So how is it my fault?! By the way it's on 7 mile distance between the pizzeria and their apartment . Horrible service and I know that pizza will be delivered cold , and we are almost 2 hr waiting time:( so sad. Learned my lesson, if it looks bad it bad no more chances ! Do not settle for rudeness and ignorance and...
