First time ever going to olde Erie and I will never go back. My husband and I walked in at 5:15pm and were met with an extremely rude host. She asked us “what do you want” and I said to eat food? Then she said there were no tables in the dining room, even though there were about 5 empty tables, and told us to just pick a seat by the bar and someone would help us. We sat down and waited for 15 minutes before the waitress came over and again asked us if we were eating. We said yes and she went to get menus. It took about another 10 minutes for the waitress to come back with the menus. She took our drink order and we ordered our food and an appetizer. The drinks and appetizer came in about 15-20 mins. Then we proceeded to wait an hour and a half for food that never came. We spent an hour and 45 minutes and never ate. We asked the hostess for the check for the appetizer and she gave us horrible attitude. She told us and hour and 15 min wait for food isn’t a long wait and to just get our food. The waitress brought out our food then and my husband said we didn’t want it we just wanted to go. The hostess called him an asshole and walked away. It was a horrible experience and I don’t recommend anyone going there. There’s better places around with...
Read moreI have been to the old Erie many times before but both times recently a bridal shower a year ago and a baby shower this week was the most disrespectful unfriendly service. The staff was very rude and nasty when it came to my party and I setting up and taking down our decorations , we cleaned everything up and even when we apologized for having confetti and picked up pretty much every piece, was still treated with attitude and a snarky remark. When the mother to be asked if she was if the staff was using a guest phone or the old Erie phone to take a photo for personal reasons of privacy the server snapped with “well it’s not mine” and when asking where our personal boxes that we brought to pack up our stuff we found had been thrown out by the staff. They even told us not asked or was any help but snapped and said “ your contract says your done by 3 why are you still here”… it was 3:45, we moved as fast as we could carrying all of our staff but,I myself work i the food industry and would never be disrespectful to the customers especially for a event that pays well and tips nicely.
Sad to say I will not be recommending the old Erie for events anymore because the staff can’t even be nice to...
Read moreI went back for a retirement party. The Old Erie was notified of how many were in the party and a reservation was made and they reconfirmed the number of people prior. Upon arrival the waitress who was assigned to our party never came to introduce herself nor did she try to get any drink orders! There was a table to the left of us who came later and had drinks prior to us! After getting our drink orders in it took forever to get them. I notified the hostess that we were having service issues. We had 1 waitress for 16 people. Would have been fine if she had experience. They gave a larger party an inexperience person. How is this fair I ask you? We know the gratuity is automatically added in. Service was hands down horrific!!!! We ordered a bottle of red wine and it came out to the table already opened. The party was there 3+ hours. It was like pulling teeth to get cheese and a 2nd drink. Some weren't even able to get a second drink. We had to flag her down. She never came to ask if anyone needed or wanted anything additional! I couldn't believe how horrible it was!! Ohhh and the food was better at the diner! This was mediocre food. Some was said to be overly salty! Not worth the...
