Orange County Bagel Bakery — Restaurant in City of Middletown

I’ve visited this place several times over the years, and while the food is still good, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. In the past, I had bad experiences with a Hispanic employee who was rude and unfriendly, making the visit uncomfortable. I came back hoping things had changed, but unfortunately, they haven’t.

I ordered a bacon, egg & cheese on a poppy seed bagel, and as always, it was delicious. However, the customer service is still terrible. The staff serves you with a bad attitude, showing no effort to make you feel welcome. It’s a shame because the bagels are great, but the service definitely ruins the experience.

This is a place to order and run 🏃‍♀️ because staying to enjoy your meal is not pleasant at all. You can tell the business is not doing as well as it used to, and I think improving customer service could make a huge difference. Until then, I’ll be looking for places where I’m treated with more kindness.

Food and service is garbage! first im greeted with a very unpleasant woman who seems like she’s irritated that you even came in and ordered. I asked for a substitute of a well done turkey instead of pork and she couldn’t understand what I was asking. My order was not complicated : a sandwich, egg and cheese and bagels. I waited over 20 minutes for my uncomplicated order. Meanwhile, seven other customers came in after me and left way before me. When I came home to give the sandwich to my husband he bit into it and said that this taste off. It taste raw! The turkey bacon was not well done as requested. It was as if it came right out the package and it was only warm to be placed on the bagel so had to re-cook it!!! The breakfast sandwiches from here are phenomenal! I love their everything bagels and I usually just get a ham egg and cheese spk and it's delicious. There's usually a small wait here in the mornings due to the morning rush, but that's expected. I call ahead sometimes so I don't have to wait long standing in line. The coffee is always hot and fresh. The workers are really friendly and polite and will strike up a conversation for a quick minute when they aren't busy helping other customers. The price is perfect for what you get. Not too expensive at all. You can also just purchase an assortment of bagels to take home with you and make yourself. I like coming here on the weekends.
