Anthony's Pizza — Restaurant in City of Mount Vernon

I just left this establishment after stopping here on my way home from work, and I will likely never return. I'm starting to feel like I'm getting bamboozled by high/good reviews on Google. It was my first time coming here. I just wanted to pick up two slices for family. When I walked in, the gentleman was sitting at one of the tables talking to another person who was sitting in the restaurant. I asked for 2 veggie slices. He proceeds to start touching the food without washing his hands. He put his hand fully into a bucket of peppers in a liquid to take them out and put on the pizzas and couches the liquid from his hands onto the pizza. He touched the refrigerator multiple times and even the button to turn on the TV, all without cleaning his hands. He was putting his hands into buckets of veggies and only rinsed his hands after throwing the veggies on the slices. I was so grossed out I wanted to just walk out and leave it at it was but I am not that kind of person. Then he charged me $14.09 for 2 slices of pizza when even on their own wall, it says specialty slices are $5 and change. I'm so disappointed with this experience. I should've just left and...

Let me give you a real honest food review i live in mount vernon and this by far is not good pizza to me. I write this sad because it looks good coming out the oven but lacks so much in taste smh..there wasnt any flavor what's so ever the pizza sauce is so bland and flavorless. The feel of the pizza was horrible like soft and gummy..ny yall know we need that pizza crunchy 😋 very nice ppl to say..but sorry not sorry this pizza was horrible the garlic knots was horrible 😢 I mean how u mess up garlic knots there was no butter smh just look like u put dough and rubbed it on garlic like where's the love in this place....the calzone I ordered was huge but lacks so much flavor...this review isn't bad because these ppl was rude to me or anything im just a hidden food reviewer and I have to rate this place for only the pizza,clazone,and garlic knots i received...I give this low score of 2.0 sorry not sorry...would give them another shot maybe I will get some pasta or try one on the sandwiches they have..or and one more thing menu look and sounds amazing lots to choose from..hope for next time...

The best pizza in westchester! Let me explain why it’s the best. The sauce is reminiscent of home made Italian sauce from the 80’s NY pizza. The crust is airy and flavorful with crunch to it, I love their dough. It is also the best place in lower Westchester for Zeppoles- and the customer service is family style.
