Sal's Deli — Restaurant in City of Mount Vernon

Great deli the staff behind the counter is always professional, polite and friendly. This is one of the cleanest deli’s that I’ve ever been to in my life and definitely the best deli in the area. As far as the food it’s always fresh. Honestly the only bad thing that I can say about this place is that they don’t really have as much of a variety of different foods as other places and also they shut their grill off really really early and they close early as well. I know it’s weschester county so a lot of businesses tend to close earlier but if you’re from or lived in the five boroughs of NYC where most deli’s are either 24 hours or stay open and keep their grill on to at least after 12:00AM this is definitely not something you’re use to. if you’re looking for a great clean deli or fresh food I would definitely advise you...

Absolutely the best sandwiches! Prices are a little high, but the quality of the sandwich makes up for it 10 fold. They sandwiches are full of meat and they follow special requests perfectly every time. I recommend calling ahead to place your order, then picking it up. They can get busy fast, but with a phone order you’re in and out quickly. That also have a great selection of drinks and other beverages. Their breakfast sandwiches are just as delicious as the cold sandwiches. My youngest son is a very picky eater and they always accommodate his specific sandwich requests. Perfectly made every time. I haven’t been able to eat a whole sandwich in one sitting, they really are huge and thick...

HORRIBLE COSTUMER SERVICE!!!I called asking until what time they make sandwiches they said 7:30 Pm i called at 7 and they said they stopped making sandwiches because they want to close early!!!! Really?? how unprofessional and disrespectful to costumers this place has became I had been a costumer from Sals since the 90s what at disappointment they have became just another Mt Vernon deli nothing special like they used to be !! And this is not the first time I had issues with them Horrible and disrespectful like I said. 0 stars would not recommend this...
