Goodfellas Pizzeria Inc — Restaurant in City of Niagara Falls

Ok, here are the facts. I used to love this place. If lots of cheese and sauce and toppings at a fair price was your thing this place used to be top of the line in niagara falls.

However, in the last six months the place has completely changed. My normal pizza has gone up ten dollars in price. Then a delivery guy told me the place has new owners.

Additionally the girl on the phone told when i asked why my normal pizza has gone up 10 dollars she said the owner now charges $4 per delivery. And she said that the owner keeps that money and that none goes to the driver.

Can someone in America please explain to me why since covid owners of pizza joints get to charge a delivery fee without compensating the delivery driver and yet expect customers to pay a delivery fee and also tip the driver.

This might have been understandable during covid, but now if customers in NYS were to file a class action against all restaurants charging delivery fees that are withheld from the delivery driver, without a doubt the judge presiding over the case would hold that these restaurants are double dipping charging customers unnecessary amounts of money for pure gain hurting the customer for greedy profits.

The new ownership at goodfellas is certainly guilty of price gouging and it possibly would be acceptable except the quality of the food has gone down considerably.

I am guilty myself of reordering from there hoping there are some old cooks that make my pizza, hoping, preying for the old Goodfellas taste. It is not there.

I wish the nee owner’s success, if a loyal customer like me notices, than the likelihood of others similarly situated will find the same decrease in quality and value.

I have spent money with this restaurant for about 30 years. Every week my family ordered from here. Until now. A few weeks ago we ordered pizza and received the proce over the phone. When the driver showed up, he gave me a price thay was higher than quoted, but I didn't think anything of it. I just paid him, tipped him and brought the food in the house. Once inside, the pizza box had the "new" price written over top of the actual price with a blue magic marker. It looked very suspect so we called the restaurant. They were shocked and very understanding. They confirmed the old price and were rightly embarrassed by the situation and ensured me the employee would be fired or at the very least never be sent to my house again. I ordered two more times since then and had no problem. Tonight, we order again and they sent the thief to my house. I called and noone I spoke to seemed to know there was an issue at all, let alone this incident even happened. There was no manager on duty. This is the last time I order from here. I figured this is something everyone that orders from here should be aware of. If you see blue marker on your box, call and double check the price. There is no way to determine how many times this happened, but I do know we were good customers that spent alot of money there and I've known that specific driver for many years. If he would do it to me, he will do it to you. This was my favorite pizza...

I normally don’t do reviews but this is definitely needed. Ordered for Delivery at 5:50pm girl on the phone said a hour ok no problem. Well hour and a half no delivery. I call and ask if it left yet. She said oh it definitely did but we got busy. Ok no problem just seeing if it left. Another 20 minutes I get a call from the driver I can’t find your house. Ok no problem I gave my address again she says oh my god she wrote the wrong address on here. Ok again no problem it happens. Food finally shows up we open it to very undercooked pizza that the crust and bottom was white. One of the toppings that I paid for not on there and the wings are just as bad. Soggy and the bones are black.food cold as hell. So I call back they wouldn’t answer the phone the first three times I tried to call back. So I took my husbands phone and called and they answered. Now I’m pissed. Tell the girl on the phone what was wrong and she said oh I’m so sorry we got busy. I can have it remade or give you a 20% discount for the next time you order. So I ask well how long will it be for it to be remade? She said another hour. So needless to say I said I’m done I will never ever order from there again and hung up! $63.00 for a large pie and 20 wings one extra blue cheese and two toppings for food that went to the garbage because my dogs wouldn’t even eat it....
