I want to first say that I have been going to AJ's for years and have had small issues from time to time but on 06/20/2025 I ordered online as I always do and that is where the chaos began. prior to picking up my order I received an email that my order was out for delivery, I set the order for pick up, I was sitting in the parking lot when I ordered. I called immediately and let them know, the person who answered was very very confused and passed me along to "The Manager", who quickly said I will call the delivery driver and have him return with the food, we went inside explained to the person at the counter, she had zero clue, and grabbed her manager, who also had zero clue, they talked the the manager who filled them in, then a few moments later the manager said we can not get ahold of the driver, this is his first week and we do not have a phone number for him, I said okay well can you just make the order again so I don't have to continue to wait, she said absolutely not, you ordered it for delivery, I said no I did not I ordered pick up and showed her my order on my phone to which she had no interest and showed me the "slip" and I happily pointed out that the "slip" had pick up as well as 2 separate addresses both of which I use for ordering 1 home and 1 business. I continued to wait for several minutes all while another employee swept the dining room tile floor toward me as I was standing by the window in the check out area. My phone rings and it was an employee of mine calling to let me know there was a delivery guy from AJ's with my order, I asked to speak to the delivery guy and asked if he could please return the order to the restaurant as I was their waiting for it, meanwhile the manager came over to me and said were just going to remake the food, I informed her that the driver is on the phone and he is going to come back with it. While we continued to wait my niece asked to order a milkshake, she was informed they don't make them on Fridays, although they had a big sign right at the register advertising them, but the manager said she would personally make it for the mix up. Finally after about 40 minutes of waiting the food had arrived, we attempted to pay and the manager said due to the mix up she would cover the cost, I said no that's not necessary but she insisted. As we were walking back to the car, I stopped to talk to a friend I noticed sitting in the parking lot and while having a conversation the young lady who had originally waited on us came outside and said very sharply, you need to pay for the food, I said we tried and the manager told us it was on them for the mix up, to which she stated "NO You Need To Pay", I called the restaurant direct as I was embarrassed and very angry, I asked to speak with the Lady Manager, and when she came to the phone I explained what had happened in the parking log, and her response was "that's my fault I did not write it off yet so they thought you walked out with it" I explained how mad I was and embarrassed to accuse me of stealing from a restaurant that I have frequented for years, I let her know that you negligence and failure to pay attention to detail has negatively impacted my experience and I would not be returning. The only response I received from her was that they were really trying to do a good job but unfortunately they failed in many ways. The service was beyond poor, the food cold and soggy (by the time it got home), I had purchased other food items from other restaurants as we had about 15 people to feed that evening and that became cold, the problem resolution was horrific, communication very poor. I did ask for a Manager or owner to reach out to me on Monday and now at the end of the day Tuesday 06/24/2025 I decided to let you all know about the very bad experience I received and because of it I will never spend another penny at...

A lg. sub is 16inches and plenty enough to be two meals as they do not skimp on thee ingredients, in fact you get more meat and thicker slices veggies than any other subshops I have been to... dec 11th 2020 update, AJ'S is not what it used to be!!! I cannot figure out how to add a new photo on here but my sub was completely soggy and the onion/peppers uncooked as well as the steak was very pink! For $35 for a sub and order of chicken tenders I expected to get the same quality I was used to and that is not at all what I got today... I will try them again to see if it was only a fluke and one bad cook or cooks bad day but it happens again then I will order elsewhere....29Aug25 Update, Do not order the chic-parm as it is half of that literally just two patties with cheese and the bland pizza sauce on it- NO PASTA served with it which is what makes the dish! Also who puts mustard on an Italian panini? Read moreAs a "Karen" I gotta say, AJ's is freaking delicious. I order about once a week while at work and I've yet to be terribly disappointed. I order online (awesome!) and I'm able to select whatever toppings I want/don't want. I can set my delivery time for whenever I want it and it's always delivered on time or early. Yes, the prices are a bit more than the other sub shops around but the servings also reflect that. Some of those salads you can eat on for 2 or 3 meals. They also have a points reward program for ordering online. You really can't go wrong with AJ's. It's "Karen"...
